Fan reports in from the Bright Eyes (http://www.brighteyes.com) / Copeland (http://www.thecopelandsite.com) show in Pomona:

A couple nights ago, I had the chance to go to the Copeland/Bright Eyes show at the glasshouse. Copeland was awesome as usual, but mostly everyone was there to see Bright Eyes. After a 45 minute set up, which included a harp, 2 drum sets, a trumpet, synthesizers, a keyboard, marracas, a stand up bass, a clarinet, and quite a few guitars, Conor did not disappoint. They opened up with a harp intro to "sunrise, sunset" and during the first 2-3 songs there had to have been 2-3,000 camera flashes in Conor's direction. The music was unbelievable throughout the set with 2 drummers playing 90% of the time. They played stuff from just about every album Bright Eyes has put out, but most of the stuff was off "Lifted". In my opinion the best songs of the night were: "Sunrise, Sunset", "The calendar that hung itself", "Don\'t know when but a day's gonna come", "Nothing gets crossed out", "Hit the switch", and "Let's not shit ourselves". This was a great show and I recommend going to see Bright Eyes on the upcoming tour with Sons and Daughters...

if I had to pick a bright eyes CD to hear in it's entirety it would be fevers & mirrors

Sounds great. I've got a ticket for the Nov. 5th show, and I've never been so excited for a show. Easily my favorite band of all time, and being my first time seeing them, I think my excitement is justified. I pray he plays some stuff from "A Collection Of Songs" and "Fevers and Mirrors".

to be fair, he only hits really big cities so it's not so much a matter of not being a fan for very long as a matter of not having access to seeing him. i've been a bright eyes fan for many years and my first time seeing him will be on wednesday, simply because he's never come within 6 hours of my city before.
