I don't understand everyone saying the new characters suck...they are essentially perfect retreads or revisits of all the previous characters, and some of these kids can (shocker) actually act. Took the original crew until around Season 5 to nail down the acting.

I like some of the new characters, but some of them just drive me up the wall with their acting. Maybe it's just how they're being directed or something, but some of the lines just seem to fall flat or are way more "OMG teenage angst!" than necessary.

Nah, watch all the old episodes. Those kids were hideous looking and couldn't act their way out of wet paper bags. They got better. These kids, for the most part, can already act, so I expect good things.

Plus, I'm sure when Degrassi:TNG started there were some old bitter fucks on the internet complaining about how 'none of these characters will ever match up to Spike and Joey, and nothing they do will ever be as intense as fucking Tessa Campinelli'. No one's ever pleased on the internet.
