Just came on here and saw this: TOTALLY AGREE.

After JT died in Season 6, I just did NOT care about the show at all; everyone was just boring to me.

Then The Boiling Point came and it is simply fantastic.

Eli is now my favorite character, EVER. And no, it's not just because Munro is really attractive. but that certainly doesn't work against him ;)

But I just came in here to freak out a little at the birthday tweets I got from Munro and Annie. :excited:

I only tweeted those two (one time each), but I was really surprised that I actually got a reply from Munro, considering the avalanche of (creepy) fangirl tweets he seems to get...

Needless to say, I was a fangirl for a few minutes there.Aww, I just love his character and his facial expressions.

Oh wow. That's kinda scary actually.

But lemme tell you how things will end: Eli and Clare will get married, and tumblr would go down as a result. Declan will forever be a bachelor, Barney Stinson-style. Sav and Alli will have their arranged marriages. Emma will divorce Spinner because of their inability to conceive a child, or something and get married to Sean. Fiona will become an alcoholic again and someone (Adam?) will help her though it. Chantay won't graduate EVER- she won't even get a job at The Dot because she's so irrelevant. Maybe if she's lucky, she'll get to dish up popcorn at the movie theater, Palex-style. Dave will never get a girlfriend (or a date for that matter)....

Okay, I can't do this anymore. /joke prediction.

But how are Declan and Jenna perfect together? Especially since they were never together. (Are you perhaps thinking KC/Jenna? or Declan/Holly J? I know that Sav/Jenna would cause me to freak out a little bit...) Just curious.

1) I used to like Eli...but now he's obviously crazy. Why can't Claire see that no matter what she does, he'll never leave her alone? I hate the way Eli's character developed. I really wanted Claire to be able to help him, like she did with the hoarding.

2) I wanted to punch Holly J and Anya in the face. They handled the situation with Fiona soooooooooo badly.

3) Do you really think Eli had the gun in his car from "hunting"? I know he told his dad he used it to shoot that picture, but did he really not remember to take it out? What would have happened if Claire didn't tell his dad?

I love this show. Next season will be intense. Jenna and K.C.'s baby, Claire moving on from Eli (I hope), Fiona finding a girlfriend (I hope Holly J, hahahah), and I hear there will be a bunch of new characters.

- Liked the Fiona/Charlie shit. Wouldn't mind seeing where that goes. The whole "Fiona's a lesbian" thing has been pleasantly surprising me after expecting so little of it.
- Weirdly compelled by the A-plot. The promos alone should let you know that there's more where that came from.

Again, Kippel's a major factor here. He makes everything from the goofiness to the personal anguish to his hurt and everything in between totally believable in someone like Spin. Dude's the man.

Anyone still watching the new episodes? A bit better than I thought they'd be, given the characters they're mainly focusing on.

Also worse, in some spots. These Connor storylines are kind of uncomfortable to watch, even though it's not out of malice. Dude just doesn't know how to handle himself. And I guess Owen and/or Owen/Anya is a hell of a lot more tolerable (Daniel Kelly can be greatly thanked for that.), but I can't fully get over the fact that it wasn't that long ago he sexually harassed her, AND she knew how he treated her gay best friend, AND landed Zane into a dumpster. Not to mention, while it was visibly the heat of the moment, it's pretty funny to see Owen just now accusing Anya being Holly J's lapdog. The anger he felt regarding HJ's "harsh" words about him would be a lot easier to sympathize with if it weren't, well, dead on.

Oh man, I love Spinner. In my opinion, his character development was the best of the entire series. Watching his character grow up over the course of the show felt more natural than a lot of the later characters. And that cancer story-line was so jarring. Like when he shaved his head, etc. Whenever other Degrassi characters breakdown, I always find myself comparing their moments to Spinner's. I was convinced he was going to die when the Dot got held up, and I feel silly at the time for saying "If he dies, not watching Degrassi anymore." Because I probably still would have. But you know, would have sucked.

Though some would argue less suckage than the marriage to Emma. My initial thought was "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?"
But it was a cheap way to get the last two original characters off the show so they could shift the focus to the newer characters.

And while I've been rambling on, am I one of the few people who loves Craig? He was an ass a lot of the time, but I don't know, his story lines were so good. Jake Epstein played him really well. Especially the bi-polarity. I always wanted him and Ellie to happily end up together, but I guess their ending was more realistic, which I frequently complain doesn't happen often enough in Degrassi.

And yay for Chantay finally graduating this season? What always got me was how Danny was definitely younger than her, and they dated, but even he graduated a season before her. Wat.

And I'm really excited for Eli being with Imogen. I feel like he has so much he has to deal with from before him and Clare even dated and he used their relationship as a sort of escape. And now Imogen is embracing and encouraging that "crazy" side of Eli. My friend compared them to The Joker and Harley Quinn, which I can see. I'm interested in how that'll turn out.

Yeah, that seemed farfetched to me, too. Especially because at that point it was only her third time doing it. But hey, what do I know about coke habits.

The Claire/Jake thing is cute, but the way it just transpired is too good to be true. So I think something will happen to make it interesting. I thought they were going to keep having them be fwb and it would go far and Clare's feelings would conflict with her abstinence beliefs. But I don't know, maybe they'll have her stick to it to reflect the real kids out there that don't take off their purity rings.

Adam is great. I forget he's transgendered sometimes. Which is kinda cool because before she was Adam, I was used to seeing the actress that played him in another show.

Even on teen mom they were hysterically crying (both mothers that chose adoption), and still have a hard time coping. The lack of tears from both parties was unrealistic - and the fact that she left so soon after without showing any remorse really blew my mind.

Anywho, I cry at anything that has to do with children. Like that kid on Korea's Got Talent? BAWLING. I mean, how could someone walk past a 5 year old alone on the streets and not ask if they were okay. It breaks my heart. I'm a crier, that's for sure.
