There are local bands that have their shit together better than this. Fall Out Boy, however, is/has been basically the exact opposite. So I disagree. Jenoah does not "pwn" Fall Out Boy.

I'm sure there are reasons more complicated then what we know. Jenoah may not be financially set to enter a studio. How do we know Drive-Thru hasn't been continously delaying their recording advance? Wouldn't it make a hell of a lot of sense when you consider the fact that all of D-T's promotion between them and Hellogoodbye (an example band I'll use since their EP was released simultaneously to Jenoah's) has gone into HG? It's pretty obvious that if any D-T band was being put on the backburner, it's Jenoah, when in fact they're -- IMO, of course, but even looking at it from a creative standpoint, c'mon -- the label's second best band going off prior album released. Labels will tend to help bands in touring as well, something I'm sure D-T hasn't been so willing to do with them.
