Deftones To Headline taste of Chaos 2006

Deftones (www.deftones.com) will headline Taste of Chaos Tour 2006. While we're on the topic of TOC, below are two popular rumors flying around about the tour, none of which have been confirmed, but are interesting, nonetheless.

-The tour will have a new side stage this year, in addition to the acoustic stage. Circa Survive will be headlining this side stage, Greeley Estates will be playing on it as well.

-Thursday, Story Of The Year, and many others popular hard rock artists, were asked to take part in the tour. We will have to wait and see who accepts the offer and receives confirmation in the coming months.

im there. i need to see the deftones again so bad, ive never seen them in a real small setting except the first time, and even that was the expo center in ct and there were a ton of people there (deftones/incubus late 2000). on the topic of headlining, deftones should def be the headliner. i saw some glassjaw drops.....while that would be incredible, i doubt it. word coming from the camp is that it prob wont be until 2007 that we see gj back on the road. daryls recording the new head automatica right now and u know theyre gonna tour to support it once it comes out. thats most of 2006 right there. but ya know what? i hope im wrong. cuz glassjaw live owns life.

coheed was not on that tour. coheed opened the thursday tour with thrice supporting....then thrice and thursday joined the deftones for a while. all in all, both show lineups were GREAT i went to both, and yea, Deftones are insanely wowowowowow live and will certainly show some of the emo kiddies how to put on a live show (MCR sucks, Green Day Sucks, Brand New is a joke...) get my drift? I usually avoid these big shows like the plague but with Circa and the Deftones on this it's pretty much amazing. Now if we could get Engine down to Reunite I could die happy.

ive been listening to this music for years. i never knew that thursday/thrice opened for deftones on a tour. it def didnt come to ct i know that. so people who didnt get a chance to go the first time around can still be excited for it happening. if u were lucky enough to go, good for u. but dont hate on people for getting excited over a killer tour. aside from that, i always wanted to see glassjaw and deftones together, and then i found out it happened before i was real big into both of em. so im still holding out hope for that goin down again. cuz, again, that would be a pilgrimage.

Deftones hit Aragon last time and sold it out. I still dont believe this two stage stuff, but if it is true then the only place it can go is Allstate. Has to be an arena tour with two stages, and even then its cramped. I dont know, its pretty hard to pull off two stages in the spring (which is still winter in half the country).

ToC last year had two stages as far as I know and it was at the Aragon. I was at that Deftones show, too. The sound there sucks so the show ended up sucking ass.
