Yes, you heard us correctly, Rosematter has decided to continue on in a manner of speaking, and we need a new vocalist in order to do so! Before I explain the requirements, I do want to set a few things straight first:
1. We will probably be changing our name in the near future.
2. We will be playing entirely new songs, we will not be playing any old Rosematter songs.
Those two things obviously go hand in hand. Yes, it will be the same 4 members we currently have (Alex, Matt, Luke, and Jake), plus the lucky 5th person who decided to join us on our new musical adventure.
Obviously I don't need to write a ton about this. We're a serious band, and we plan on being just as serious, if not more, than we have been in the past, so keep that in mind when you hit us up.
This is what we are looking for:
1. We are primarily looking for a MALE singer. We've done the female thing obviously, and unless you're a better female vocalist than Katie was, we would prefer you to be a dude. However, if you are an amazingly talented female, we will obviously consider that as well.
2. You must be 18-26 years of age. Please, if you're 40, don't tell us you're a young looking 40...
3. Must be able to practice in the York, PA area 2-3 times per week, and play shows almost every weekend. We have been, will be, and are a serious band. We play lots of shows and practice a lot. Nothing is worth doing if you aren't going to give it your all, and in order to do that you'll need to live relatively close to us so we can practice and play shows together.
4. Must be able to sing, write melodies, and contribute to the songwriting process. This should be fairly obvious we hope.
5. Must be financially sound. Bands can be expensive, and if you don't have enough money to pay your bills, you obviously don't have enough to help with things like merch, designs, owning good quality gear, ect.
6. Must love music and be willing to put the band and your love of music on top of your priority list. We have all been doing this for years and years, and we have no intention of giving up because we honestly love what we do. We want someone who feels the same way about being in a band and music that we all do as well.
