I don't understand how other bonus tracks from say Rhapsody or even the CD itself are aloud but a bonus track that is exclusive to itunes is not? What if someone doesn't have an itunes account?

Apparently the guys from Mute Math sing/play on a Christian-revival benefit CD called 'Elevator Music' - the lyrics are...well...all about Jesus. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but still.... It's a little strange to hear. You can stream the songs on the page.
i had this, it wasn't very good, just live worship recording. church recordings have terrible accoustics = bad recording. its interesting to listen too none the less

Would it be terrible to get together 5 or 10 people willing to pitch in $1-2, depending on how many are interesting, to get Anberlin - Heavier Things Remain (Graviora Manent) from iTunes in 256 kbps? I tried this method once before and it was met with resistance--am I missing reasons (besides the fact that the concept of album-only bonus tracks is to get each person to buy the album themselves instead of as a group) as to why this would be a bad idea for any future b-sides/bonus tracks that are difficult to get? I mean, we are PAYING for the song. Personally, I wouldn't mind getting together with 9 other people who want the song and are willing to pay $1 each for it for someone to buy the digital version and share the bonus track.

Not to be a dick, but I wanted to make sure all of the newer people (seems like there are a lot of late) know about the Control Panel. If you go to the home page, on the left side one of the links is My Control Panel (http://www.absolutepunk.net/usercp.php?). If you click on that, it will take you to a list of discussions that have been updated since you last read them. There's a "First Unread" button to bring you up to speed.

Just know that most people use that (I hope) and you don't have to re-post the same request over and over or track the thread down in the General boards.

I may be off base, but I didn't know about that for awhile.

It's gonna be whatever the original bitrate it was uploaded at. But you can't just rename it unfortunately.

There's another free one, Pazera Free Audio Extractor. Not a glamorous name, but it does exactly what it says. If you have a video, you can set the profile and output to "try extract original audio stream", which will give you the audio with no loss. If needed, it can also convert.

There's also Yamb, which can convert raw AAC files to mp4 files. Pazera might extract to that, in which case it may need to be made into an mp4 . It's A GUI shell for a program called MP4 Box, so basically the program doing the job is the MP4 Box. I recomend the installer over the MP4 Box/Yamb standalone combo, as it doesn't seem to work as well.

Okay, I'm starting to really bad feel about about my comment. Basically, Depeche Mode is one of my favorite bands and when I was getting into them, people would get them mixed up with Duran Duran. I didn't really care that much, but when I corrected them, they were like "Oh...I like Duran Duran" and they'd lose interest.

I personally think they have a very big cheesy factor and that DM never got their proper credit. That, and apparently Simon Le Bon made some comment to Dave Gahan like "Oh yeah, I like your stuff. Keep it up" years into their career.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude to anyone. It's one of those less rational dislikes, if that makes any sense.

That seems so bizarre. It's been downhill past Ultra I think, though Playing The Angel had some strong spots. I've yet to listen to the new album though. "In Chains" sounded really cool (it leaked a few hours before the actual album). Two demos also got leaked.
