OK, I'm showing my age here and going back to the days of "grunge"...does anyone remember 2 bands from Seattle called Brad and Satchel? They were both fronted by a great singer named Shawn Smith. I've been on a huge Shawn Smith kick lately and am trying to track down all his b-sides, outtakes, radio appearances, etc. I have a few Brad and Satchel concert bootlegs from back in the day, but I know Shawn Smith has, over the years, released dozens and dozens of his own solo songs on his myspace page and I don't have any of them.

Anything anyone has to offer would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone wants what I already have, I'm happy to upload. If you've never heard either band, you should check them out.

I just got my Saddle Creek newsletter in my inbox. They mention that there is going to be an exlusive split 10" picture disc with Cursive on one side and Ladyfinger (ne) on the other side. It's being released to support Record Store Day. My personal problem is that I live in a gigantic city with the shittiest record stores in the world. The more pertinent thing for us is that it's going to contain a previously unreleased Cursive track "Universal Shrug".

Somebody's got to get that record and hopefully it'll come with a download code. If not, it needs to be ripped for all of us completists. It's coming out this Saturday.

If I want to listen to "A Flight and A Crash", I want to look under the A's and not the F's. It's also showing things that begin with numbers last instead of first. Is there a setting I can change on iTunes so that it displays like it used to? Any help is appreciated.

As far as the lettering goes, look under the sorting options, if it is sorted as Flight, and not A, then you need to change it. Look at the column above the titles and click on it until it says album. If it says date added, it will be in reverse order.

As far as the lettering goes, look under the sorting options, if it is sorted as Flight, and not A, then you need to change it. Look at the column above the titles and click on it until it says album. If it says date added, it will be in reverse order.

Hopefully this helps.

I went through the whole clicking the top of the column thing but it never sorts it properly. If I click on Hot Water Music, it displays the album titles like this:
Caution
Finding The Rhythms
A Flight And A Crash
Forever And Counting

Whereas A Flight And A Crash should be the very first thing on the list. It does the same thing with albums that begin with "The". I'm beginning to doubt that the new version of iTunes is even capable of sorting the right way.

As were talking about iTunes does anyone know how to change the sorting order on iPods so that bands begining with numbers are at the top (so it goes number, then A, B, C etc) and not at the bottom under Z?

I'd also really like to know how to do this.

I used ccleaner and it uninstalled the version of iTunes I had in seconds. I don't use iTunes for my media library (I use windows media player) but it did say that the version of the library I had was newer than the one that was installed so I had to delete the library file before I could use it.

Edit:- It didn't work doing that so I had to downgrade the firmware on my 5.5gen ipod and now it works :-d

1. A band called Bliss 66 put out a second, self-released CD back in 2003 called 'Life...Is A Comedown'. it's no longer available anywhere, it seems - even for download. Though it was posted on bsidesrus a few days ago, it's a 192 copy with a few clicks on the tracks. What I'm looking for is a 320 kbps version, if anyone has it.

2. A band called Feeder (from England) has recently issued CD singles, but they are only available on the British iTunes and legitimate British MP3 sites (which i can't purchase music from, no matter how hard I try). I am looking for the Tracing Lines CDS, the Napster Acoustic Sessions, and iTunes Live -- all of which were issued last year.

Yeah, sorry. Audicity wasnt letting me export them as mp3's and the last one didn't need editing. I don't know what the tracks are called except for the first one. The seven inch is a square picture disc that doesn't say anything on it, sorry, wish I could help. If I find out anything about the track titles I'll make sure to tell you.
