Before you request something, see if any of these links do anything for you.

B-Sides 'R' Us (http://bsidesrus.blogspot.com/) - Official b-sides blog. Ten or so of us b-side thread regulars run it and it's got quite a bit of stuff.

File2HD (http://file2hd.com/) - This is a really cool site that lets you download any song of myspace (and if you know your stuff, any other site as well.) Also, a new feature - you can download the original files, too (if you're not in the US.) That means that you don't get shitty 96kbps stream rips, but you get the original file the band uploaded. Pretty cool, right? If you're not in the US, then don't fret, you can still use this. Just see the next little bullet.

Sexual Injection (http://www.sexualinjection.com/) - Ignore the name, this is a decent internet proxy. Why would I have this on the first post, you ask? Well, if you type in "http://www.file2hd.com (http://www.file2hd.com/)," you can download the original, high-quality files no matter where you're from. When your browser asks you to save the file, it will probably give the file the name "index.php". Just remember to change that to "whatever the song title is.mp3" and you should be good to go.

Zamzar (http://zamzar.com/url/) - Allows you to convert between file types without downloading a program. Especially useful for stealing the audio from a Youtube video. What higher quality mp3's? Download the original file with Keepvid and use Zamzar to convert the download file to mp3.

Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) - Records anything that comes out of your speakers. For example, say you want a song that a band has put up on Purevolume but you don't know any way to get it. Use Audacity as your last resort - just hit record and play the song, and you're good to go. This doesn't just record the song, though - if you click anything or make any other noise on your PC, Audacity will record that, too. Also a very simple audio editing tool.

WinRar (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm) - Use this program to open any .rar or .zip files that you can't get open. Mostly all uploads in this thread use the .rar format, so I highly suggest you get it. REMINDER: WINRAR IS FOR PC USERS ONLY! If you're on a Mac, then you'll want to use StuffIt.

Peewee's Acoustics & Rarities (http://www.peewee546.wordpress.com/) - Great blog run by an occasional member of the b-sides thread. Want good quality rips? Look no further.

Kevin Devine Rarities (http://www.tmdecomposer.wordpress.com/) - A large amount of KevDev songs in one spot, also run by an occasional member of the b-sides thread.

Also, before you request, remember that good ol' J Tate put a "Search This Thread" function up in the upper-right hand corner of your page, underneath the page numbers.

The first thread can be found here: http://absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=316273
The second thread can be found here: http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=462621 (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=462621)
The third thread can be found here: http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=661112 (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=661112)

For Christmas songs and requests, go here (http://absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?p=25916032).

Thanks for this, Josh! I don't know anything about this band, but I like all the stuff that's been posted so far. Do they only have 3 demos out, right?

BTW - new You Me At Six single (w/ one b-side and a live track) came out yesterday. Can't remember if you're a fan or not...

Hey I need these Natasha Bedingfield songs:
N.B.
2. "Stepping Stone"
Pocketful of Sunshine.
16. "Cheer Me Up" - 3:22 (Pre-order exclusive)
Unwritten:
5. "Stumble" (Shelly Peiken, Greg Wells) – 3:36

As well as OK GO: "We Dug a Hole"

And these Imogen Heap/Frou Frou songs:
"Aeroplane (frou frou mix)," "Deal With It," "A New Kind of Love," "Miel"

Also, did we ever find out if there is a legitimate version of Anberlin's "Blame Me! Blame Me! (Remix)"

I know a lot of people were asking for some Strokes b-sides in the last thread and no one responded. Does anyone have any? Figured I'd ask for everyone interested.

I bought Building A Better _____ on release day and I absolutely love it. Its definitely grown on me. Its all I have listened to for a week straight. Thank you for such a great album.

but really, the point of this message is I was wondering where I could get the track 'eraser'? Is it available on any releases or only streamable on absolutepunk.net?

thank you.

So the track is titled 'Eraser' and it was up for a while on their AP.net profile after the albums release. Now lets find this track!

i'm looking. i found a link on another bsides forum that had the song and other park stuff, but it was down. i registered to the site and pm'ed the guy who originally upped it, like a year ago, hopefully he still has it. we'll see.

Hey is there only one b-side for Not Without A Fight?
Yes.

:( I thought there was an iTunes bonus, or UK bonus, or something :(

Also, does anyone have seen new Jack's Mannequin live bootlegs, or any apart from Live At Riviera Theater, 16/02/07, Live At Luther College, 31/10/06 and the other one on the blog, with 9 songs?

Saw Andrew yesterday, and it was the best show I've ever been to.

I know my request is a long shot...

It's a great version, with a few little additions to the lyrics here and there, it'd be awesome if someone could rip it (again, my semester in the UK has the internet speeds of 1997).

same here. it was like that eons ago when i was in college. people would ask me my favorite groups and then i'd get blank stares when i started naming them.

while we're on the subject of unsung bands, anyone ever listen to The Dingees' Crucial Conspiracy or Craig's Brother's Lost At Sea? i thought both of those albums were fantastic and yet neither got much coverage or publicity when they came out around 2000, 2001.

Are the bolded different from the versions on the EP's?

I'll take them all btw haha. Thanks.

Not sure if they are different but here you go! I am downloading the EP's from the blog now.

BTW funny note, when I was at that Vandals show I was pretty much the only one rocking out to Reeve Oliver and I bought a shirt while there. The band saw me with the shirt on and asked if I had heard of them before the show. It was kinda sad but I laughed. The TMNT drum set is awesome though! I also got a guitar pick which was cool. I miss these guys.

Edit: If I remember right I think they said the songs were re-recorded but I could very well be mistaken.

Can someone, anyone do me a favor?

I've been trying to download these 4 songs off this page for 3 hours. THREE HOURS.

It's 4:24 am, I need to sleep, but it's driving me nuts that I can't get any of these 4 songs to download 100%. They'll all stop halfway or less before they're done so I'm left with 20 seconds to a minute of the song.

Could some kind soul PLEASE download the 4 free songs from this page and re-up them elsewhere for me?

You'll really keep me from pulling my hair out.

Idk if it's the site, my computer, my connection, or what, but I'm hoping if someone else downloads them, they'll actually work.

Just make sure after you download them that the track lengths are typical song lengths not 1:24 or 0:49, ya know?

Please & thank you.

amen to that. i NEVER understood why they weren't bigger. some of the best pop-punk music around. some things in this world just aren't fair.

Probably just one of those bands that slipped under the radar because of lack of promotion or something like that.

http://uk.file2hd.com/

Is that working for anyone else to get the HQ versions of songs? Can't get it to work.

Works fine for me, but I usually just use it without the 'uk' prefix in the URL.

Fading Out
Life On Repeat (Mixed & Mastered with The Movie Song--which I'm assuming is the same as "Movies"...? probably?)
Moments From Mourning
The People Mover
Demos (I'm assuming this is the same as your "Pre-Production Demos"? Starts with "Not What I Expected", ends with "Left Out"?)
Songs: "Miracle" and a live recording of "Sleep"
You have "Draft", "Evol" and "Friends Come And Go" listed, but I have all of those listed under "Demos"? So maybe my "Demos" isn't the same as your "Pre-Prodcution Demos"?

Can you give me the tracklisting for "Pre-Production Demos"?

This is what I have for "Demos":
1. Not What I Expected
2. Draft
3. Smile
4. Kristina
5. Insides
6. Friends Come And Go
7. Chasing Amy
8. Evol
9. Corporate Giants Killing Our Friendships
10. Left Out

I don't have those demos, so that would be good if you could upload them. I just got it from a torrent, so it probably isn't tagged properly. Got the pre-production demos from elsewhere though... it just has

Nothing At All (Un-mixed)
Movies (Un-mixed)

in it.

I think 'Movies' is the same as 'The Movie Song', but neither of mine sound mastered/fully mixed. Could you also upload the live version of 'Sleep' please?

Would you like the farewell show uploading?

I actually cut off the "we're Fightstar and this is Mercury Summer" introduction and faded out the clapping at the end so it's JUST the song :D

Yeah I cleaned it up a bit too, audacity is pretty handy.

Is it just me or is the 5:19 show really really bad haha.

Obstructed View featured on both versions of This is Noise EP are remastered versions and the Masters Of Horror version is a original version.......The Masters Of Horror version sounds better in my opinion.......

Nothing. The Your Scene Sucks comp version of Obstructed View is the different one. The Masters Of Horror is identical to the Sound Of Noise EP and the bonus track on some copies of Siren Song.

I noticed that the Sight Unseen you posted was just a vinyl rip. I don't want to sound unappreciative because I do appreciate it but I'm curious is one of the 320 kbps cd rips you speak of Sight Unseen?

I used Sony Soundforge lol. Yeah the show is pretty shit. They recorded an Acoustic of The English Way too and it didn't get played on the 5.19 show OR BBC2. Wonder if that'll ever surface.

I did laugh at the "Fit 'O Clock" portion of that particular episode though where they were all acting sexually attracted to each other and they were all rubbing on each other. That was funny lol. That and right after the Fit 'O Clock part where Tom says "I'm gonna take my squash with me 'cause I'm so parched" .. it reminded me of how silly some english phrases sound lol.

Haha I didn't watch that much of it, only saw select bits. Tom has to be the one of the most annoying presenters I've ever seen.

What's the source on this? To my knowledge a 256 DRM free file from itunes its the best available quality without a transcode. Has it been released on a CD?

I should be getting the Audience Of One UK CDS sometime in the next week or so. Tour Song is listed as the B-Side. I will rip and post once it arrives.

Elective Amnesia is an iTunes exclusive and it's not on Audience Of One EP. I just got the single in the mail today and the digital b-side is Boy's No Good, so I'm assuming he is upset for being questioned on it.

Here's the Japanese Bonus tracks
14. Historia Calamitatum
15. Sight Unseen

If Elective Amnesia isn't from the Audience of One EP and he's claiming it is, but it really isn't because iTunes is the only place you can actually get it, why is he getting upset? I dunno, I'm getting confused with this. Either way, I think people have a right to be curious as to the source of Elective Amnesia when nearly everyone assumes it is only available on iTunes.

Thanks for upping these!
