I only really like Paperface and Inspection 12. Try to sign bands that can bring your other key bands to the next level which is gaining major popularity with larger fanbases. I don't see any bands on the roster yet that have the ability to do this. Signing hard-hitting, attention grabbing bands will definitely achieve this. They can bring the other bands on tour and so on. Now the only hard part is finding these bands. lol, hire me.

I thought Takeover was getting a bad impression cause they were pimped by myspace - which automatically makes things bad by some people. Not sure. I don't really have an opinion about them right now.

And to whoever asked if they're "ska-ish", they're really not anymore. Old MFC was ska. Then they drifted away from that. They still have a trumpet and trombone, but they're not as prominent and definitely not a ska sound. They like the term 'action rock' apparently.

Its a damn shame what the kids are saying about Takeover...I don't think its a matter of making the effort as it is like, having the effort to make.

When I was at Wrped Tour this last summer, I went to their tent to buy some things, and really the only CD that I wanted and didn't have (Stole Your Woman) was sold out. Thats' gotta say something. Plus, they have Inspection 12, and I12 being one of the raddest bands around, I'll not stand idly by and watch people bad-mouth their home. It's not their fault that Pete Mosely (who is the super awesome lead guitarist for I12) has more important things going on right now (namely touring with his bread n' butter band Yellowcard). So they're left to wait, rather than replace him...which I've got a lot of respect for. I'm sure once Pete gets back with the guys everything going to be fine...or am I in denial???Enough about me and my disturbing obsession with Inspection 12.

How can you fault a label that's okay with allowing their bands to do things at their own pace rather than forcing them to churn out irrelevant, watered-down crap all the time???

As far as I'm concerned, Takeover Records is a supremely adequate home for Monty (Congratulations, by the way...not sure if they've heard enough about beating thousands of bands on a national level to be honored with a spot on a record label here people, lets not lose sight of that). Rock on Monty, and rock on Takeover!!!

Anyways, congrats to Monty ('s Fan Club). Their new sound fits in well with Takeover's lineup - they sorta remind me of Don't Look Down. It seems like this year's contest didn't have as many big names (Daphne last year was a surprise), but of the bands involved, I think Monty is the best fit.

Now sign those pesky Another Found Self boys from Ohio. ;)

and for people from takeover records...you guys really need to step up with ur bands...you guys have the name everyone has heard of takeover records you just need more promoting and advertising...and why not try and get the bands you have on some decent tours...i'm not talking about warped or festivals i am talking about real tours with bands on other big labels...it will help out a lot!
