In the summer of 2007, I took part in Crusaid’s ‘Walk for Life’.

Walk for life is a 10 kilometre walk through the streets of London, in support of those affected by HIV and AIDS in the UK and internationally. 10km is roughly 15,000 steps; Nothing compared to the struggle that those suffering with this disease face every day.

This year I have decided to once again help in any little way that I can to ease the pain of those affected, and I ask that you do the same.

Around 80,000 people living in the UK alone are HIV positive, and a staggering 33 million people in this world live their lives with HIV and AIDS.

Please sponsor me on this walk, anything would be greatly appreciated and will help immensely.

Even if every person I know donated one pound (£1 GBP), or one dollar ($1) those singular 100 pennies would grow and add together to make a substantial total of ninety three pounds, or dollars (£93 GBP, or $93) on facebook alone!

Now imagine that every one of those same people sponsored five pounds (£5 GBP or $5) instead. The amount of money that we throw away buying an alcoholic drink in a bar. If those people donated £5 then it would make a total of an amazing four hundred and sixty five pounds! (£465 GBP or $465).

So please, help me to help this amazing charity in the work that they do to improve the quality of life for people living with this saddening disease.

The deadline is June 7th 2009, so there’s plenty of time.

Please, give what you can and send my link to anyone you know. I may be doing the walking on the day, but the real help is the money raised, and we can all do that together. So please, ask your friends to sponsor me, so that on June 7th, my legs can represent the work that we did as a group.
