Hey there guys and gals! I'm a little tired and worn out tonight, so I figured i'd let a friend take over recommendations for me this week. MOVIES:
Waiting - Go see this movie. This is seriously the funniest movie you may ever see. And its got Dane Cook in it. Funny stuff. It'll make you be real nice to every waiter and waitress you will ever have again.
MUSIC:
Thrice (http://www.thrice.net) - Vheissu - This album rocks from beginning to end. Don't be surprised if it racks up a couple of awards before the year is over.
Five Pie (http://www.5pie.net) - My Ever - Almost completely DIY, this cd is one of my favorites from this year. Good fun music. I love these guys.
The Arrogant Sons of Bitches (http://www.asobrock.com) - I don't think I know of a single ska fan who isn't eagerly awating the release of Three Cheers for Dissappointment.
Bomb the Music Industry! (http://www.bombthemusicindustry.com) - Also fronted by the incomparable Jeff Rosenstock. Their cd Album Minus Band has every kind of sound on it you could ever want. Fast, slow, hard, soft....its amazing.
Tim Wright (http://www.timwright.net) - Former singer of amazing PA band Project Reconnect and guitar player for Digger, Tim is one of the great young singer/songwriters of this generation in my opinion. He really sings from his heart. It's amazing.
