Been playing the demo. The controls took about 15min to get used to again.

This game is gonna kick major ass.

I'll probably pick it up tomorrow night or sometime soon. I played the demo very briefly and I wasn't all that impressed, especially with it being set in day light. But I'm a huge fan of the series and have been playing it for years so I'm hoping I just didn't give it a long enough chance.

Still pretty excited about getting it though.

The graphics on it are alright they looked a little grainy. But I think it'll still be good overall.

Judging how in 4 at most 4-5 guys on screen and now up too like 10. It gets pretty intense.

Played the demo. Liked it, but I agree with a lot of what i've been hearing that it is to RE4 what WaW was to CoD4. Resident Evil 6 will hopefully be a return to more horror roots, because this doesn't seem that scary. Still, plan on purchasing very soon.

I am thoroughly enjoying it. I've read a few reviews were they said it didn't feel like a Resident Evil game and I disagree, granted I've played and beaten all the previous RE games, so I may be a bit biased. It plays just like Resident Evil 4, so I can't really complain.

I think it's harder than 4 so far but it's definitely fun. The partner in it wastes ammo like crazy though, it's really annoying and for some reason she won't pick up any more ammo unless you tell her to! Whatever though, it makes it more challenging I guess.

I've only made it though chapter 2-2 so far. It does seem a bit harder than RE4... Having Sheva is a godsend sometimes and the game isn't as stingy on ammo as past RE games. No pausing for the item menu took a bit to get used to, but setting items/weapons to the d-pad is even better... adds to the intensity.

Fantastic so far, not quite as fresh as RE4 was... aside from co-op, but just as good.

Wow, stayed up till 5 last night/ this morning playing this game.

Only thing that pisses me off is extreme difference from Normal to Veteran.
Normal is ridiculously easy and Veteran just gets to hard, way more enemies that need way more hits coupled with barely any ammo.

Other than that it's a great game. (fuckin dogs)

Yeah it's all the same. Controls are setup the same, and you can customize them anyways.

I do too sometimes. It helps if you shoot them in the leg and then run up to them and hit X. When they lay on the ground hit X one more time. Then you saved yourself bullets!

As much as I love the first games in the series, they franchise has moved on. It isn't survival horror now, its an action game, and well. I love it even more.

The difference is minimal, the biggest difference I see between the two of them is the green tint in the xbox version and some screen tearing in it. Otherwise they both look exactly the same.

ok when you die and you have the load screen but those little mines and set those it will take like 5 to kill him and use you melee attack too. oh and the best thing to do is use her as like an extra carrying thing. dont give her any ammo and hord it for yourself and just let her empty whatever she has left. That should do it. Thats how i got through it with the AI

Easy, GTAIV sucked, RE5 doesn't. RE5 followed an amazing game, RE4, it would be impossible for it to get downright amazing reviews after what RE4 got, most reviews allude to the fact that RE5 is a great game following an amazing game :shrug:

I feel as though this game takes too many aspects from other games and ideas for me to consider it great. The whole thing with Jill being the masked figure is fucking retarded. There is nearly no originality with the enemies in this game. Lickers again? Really? I would've rather had bandersnatches. I really hope they can break away from the Umbrella thing. The last thing I want to see is Claire fighting mutant crocodile men in the amazon that have some new virus created by a defunct member of Umbrella. Overall I'd say the game was decent, despite my major gripes. Fantastic graphics.

I'm halfway through RE5 atm, first time playing through and on veteran, i love it.
I'm playing rouge tho, and the AI is dumb as shit and wastes ammo constantly. Especially if you're standing in front of it, and they keep shooting you.
I can't say i have any complaints about it so far.

I do miss the old stuck in one building with lots of puzzles and slow zombies style RE games tho.

L4D is the best game.

Uh, I had a launch 360 and about a year ago it shit out, but I shipped it out and had the problem fixed (and they threw in a new disc drive which was quieter for free) and back to me within a week. The newer 360's seem to have much less problems than the launch ones though. Overall, I love my 360 to death haha.

I have a 120gb hdd I purchased two years after buying the pro and I've only filled about half of it (mainly due to installing games to my hard drive). Most people I know have the 60gb hard drive and are fine with it. I think the elite would be overkill, but that's completely up to you. Research both of them and see what you like better.

Ya, I tore through the first two chapters in a couple of hours. It starts to pick up the difficulty around where he is. Still doesn't become extremely hard, just difficult. I'm at the last part of chapter 4, and I've still been hitting constant Bs.

The trick against Irving is simply to master anticipate the reaction commands. If you can expect that, he's really easy. I got through it with only 1 first aid spray for myself, and one for my partner.

Ya, I tore through the first two chapters in a couple of hours. It starts to pick up the difficulty around where he is. Still doesn't become extremely hard, just difficult. I'm at the last part of chapter 4, and I've still been hitting constant Bs.
What is pissing me off is how expensive it is to level up the guns and trying to get infinite ammo!! UGH im about to punch something!!!!

I beat it on veteran. It wasn't too hard. On professional you are downed by anything. You also have a very very limited time to heal. Probably about two seconds. The blue shields have nothing to do with unlimited ammo. Once you upgrade the gun you can buy it. The shields are for figures and costumes.

No. Then you can't get the achievement for upgraded weapons. You need to actually have all of them. Just keep doing the mission with the lickers. You get $5K a pop for each heart you get.

i recommend running through campaign once on normal and then check your total time and then run through the levels again to get your time down to below 5 hrs. this will unlock the unlimited rocketlauncher (necessity for professional & bosses) This will also help with getting more cash for weapon upgrades and more exchange points. I just beat it for the second time on normal and then once through on amatuer and then once through on veteran (in 4 hours)! professional doesnt lie it is really hard it took me and my bud 30 min to beat level 1-1 on professional. o and definately both of you should have an unlimi-sniper, a ballsy magnum i like the handcannon personally also make sure who ever is Sheva gets the bow. (Upgrade the hunting sniper all the way) this one shots 99% of the enemies. The unlimi gattling gun is really a turd cause it slows you down and it has a spool time which sucks in sticky situations but i does provide good armor for your six. (your back) the jailbreaker has good range but its a wussy gun. i like the m3 shotty its good :) (I also did this all while wearing my zebra outfit:D)

Got this today. RE4 is my favorite game ever. A couple hours into it, and so far I'm kind of underwhelmed. :shrug: I don't like the Africa thing. Just doesn't scare me in the least. Not one bit. That type of landscape just kills the creepiness. Also, Sheva is an idiot. This game is too action-y and not scary enough. I will play through though. I still like it, just a little disappointed. The spaces also feel a little crammed, having only two people and all. Also I don't like the new inventory system.

I only got this game a few weeks ago but I think it is a great game. Really good weapons and controls, some of the best cut scenes I have ever seen and great for online co-op. I just wish this game was scary as that is what I was expecting since I have never played a RE game before.

Playing this on Veteran with my buddy. It's so easy, except for the fucking ogre. WTF we just cant beat it.
