Honestly she is like really really beautiful and besides that I felt her singing really set that album apart from others. More power to her, I'll bbe listening closely for her solo album. its kinda weird though that their debut album just came out and already she left.

Yeah, my band actually played with them and The Stiletto Formal and Goodbye Tomorrow on Thursday and I was really excited to see Lydia. I was sad when I heard about this though. She has such a rad voice. They actually have one of the girls from The Stiletto Formal filling in for her.

um to "archamedes" -two of my bestfriends that i grew up with my whole life are members of that band and uh im good friends with all of them including maria and actually she did get kicked out in las vegas on the beggining of this tour...and she has been out of the band for about 2-3 weeks now...they were gonna do it a while ago but couldnt find a replacement so jus decided to do it wo one... if u knew her u would know why...

I guess u would know though cuz u played in a shitty band named after a roman god within 50 miles of where lydia resides...

and she isnt a key element in the writing process, steve and leighton write the piano parts and she plays them. Leighton writes all the lyrics she sings her parts...and live she doesnt cut it, she doesnt sing loud enough and never comes in at the right time, they will be much better when she IS replaced.

funny thing happened to me the other day.
i was walking around Fiesta Mall in Mesa, AZ. and this girl was looking at me really weird and she looked so very very familiar. and it wasnt till like a minute later i relized it was Maria from Lydia and then i relized i had a Lydia shirt on. i was laughing about it for a while.

i'm really dissapointed with what's going on with this band. they have put out probably the most solid cd of the year (or at least in my top 5) and it's like they have no backing. i donno what the situation is with all of that but their cd is virtually NOWHERE. half the tour dates listed on their myspace still have venue as TBA.

they probably have had more promotion as a by-product of oda having the link to their media player and album art in his portfolio than from anywhere else.

if dumping the girl was good for the band, great, but they definitely need a girl singing and some serious promotion.

Haha, and finally I see it posted on AP. I was wondering if this day would come. Don't worry everyone, it was a mutual decision and in the end it will be ok. They're trying out other girls right now and have plenty lined up to bring you a greater performance at their shows. You may be upset with the loss of her in the band, but she had nothing to do with the writing process, therefore the sound will not change. Lydia will still be the same. As for the ongoing tour right now, Shelly from The Stiletto Formal is covering for her.
