And when your way up here, (the music) is crystal clear.
Ok, honestly. I need help. I could listen to the same stuff I always do, but I'd like to branch out a little. Plus, my new itunes library is fairly modest. I'm just looking for some good plane ride recommendations, so please cease the mocking.

Haha funniest thread to ever become a serious one.
Edit: I don't care how cliche it is, but if you're going for post-rock, I would choose Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

Last summer, on a plane ride from Rome to Chicago, I listened to the entire Sigur Ros discography. Made the plane ride much more enjoyable.

I promise you could spend four hours on GY!BE alone. On the album F#A# infinity alone.

and i recommended f#a#infinity to a guy driving 12 hours yesterday. what a coincedence.
Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters

I don't particularly care for Godspeed and love Can so I'm more than a tad biased.

Oh, definitely still worth a listen. Although I wouldn't have suggested starting with Future Days unless you dig ambient/jazz fusion stuff. Tago Mago seems like something you'd prefer.
