Hey! We are Goodbye Etc., a pop punk band from Philly. We sort of sound like the spunky lovechild of Green Day and Alkaline Trio. Our influences include punk bands like The Descendents, Ramones, Broadway Calls, Lawrence Arms, MXPX, Bouncing Souls, Teenage Bottlerocket, Screeching Weasel, etc. and pop/rock like The Beatles, The Who, Nirvana, Oasis, Rolling Stones, Replacements, etc.

We have thus far released a debut EP and are always working on new songs. We plan on touring this summer and much more beyond.

We are currently holding auditions to find a new bassist. We're looking for someone with the following qualities:

-Very solid bassist who can write good melodic bass lines
-Has professional equipment (bass and amp/rig)
-Band/tour experience (you should have played in some bands at this point)
-Transportation -Great great stage presence
-**Can sing hamonies (you don't have to sing but it'd be a huge plus)
-Dedication and commitment (we want someone who wants to take this as far as possible with us and who will work just as hard)

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!!! We can't stress enough how we are looking for someone with serious commitment and motivation. We want somebody who really loves playing music all the time and wants to travel and make this their life.

Send us a message on myspace or to this ad if you're interested. Tell us about yourself and your experience. Send us some links to bands you've been in and stuff like that. We have a show March 31 at the North Star Bar with The Cute Lepers (awesome power-pop on Joan Jett's Blackheart Records) and a 104.5 night at The Note in West Chester as well as a couple others. We have somebody to fill in for us, but it'd be extra awesome to get the new dude/dudette in by then. Thanks!
