I haven't been on this forum in a long time. But I just wrote this and thought I'd post it. It's 2am. I should be asleep. Listening to "Down From Above" by Vetiver now.
As the light awakens
sitting quietly in an empty room
late night with eyes wide open
a slowly fading darkness
a home calling out to an empty soul
listening only to the melodies and hymns
coming from within a speaker and then out
two guitars playing off each other
a balance of power, of lead and rhythm
never to sleep, holding a feeling of loneliness
as the only person in the world with this darkness
a strange and terrifying feeling
only until the light awakens the rest of your life
