I remember these three movies blew me fucking away back in the Pokemon craze days, and each movie was seriously better than the last. Discuss.

I only saw the first two. I even saw the first movie in Japanese, and had my friend explain the dialogue to me. I was pretty hardcore. Haha
After 5th grade, and catching all 150 pokemon in the red version, I felt I had to step away from the game.

Wow looking at those posters bring me back. I used to play the games a lot, I even had a Mew at one point. Thankfully I found music and walked away.

Damn I have a half finished Pokemon Leaf Green stuck in my DS right now.
The third one was my favorite. That card you got when you went to the movie, in the corner of that poster... that was a sweet fucking card.

There are 11.
I think I've only seen a couple. Usually they need to be shown on Cartoon Network at a time when I am extremely bored.

I only knew it went up to four and have only actually seen the first three.
That's so ridiculous. After they started adding more pokemon it kinda turned me away... The original and the ones after that are cool, but after that it just got stupid.

I wouldn't mind trying out one of the new Pokemon handheld games - the originals were solid. What are they on now? Turquoise?

Pokemon was absolutely amazing. It was more than a show or game. It was a freakin lifestyle.
Won't lie, I bought Diamond when it came out a couple years ago. Twas fun, but it didn't really touch Gold/Silver, which were my favorites.
I remember when I saw the first two in theaters..

i second diamond. it was sweet. though platinum is supposed to be an update of those, right? like yellow?

Diamond/Pearl are absolutely incredible. The reason I got my DS was to play them and it was/is well worth it. Deep, rich, difficult, diverse ... everything you could want from a Pokemon game.Do little kids have to stay up after bedtime to catch nighttime Pokemon? Pretty cool addition I think.

You know, I hate how the first Pokemon movie is literally called "Pokemon: The First Movie". Isn't that a bit cocky on the filmmakers' parts? It's like they knew that they were gonna come out with many other Pokemon films. It's like if they called the first LOTR movie "Lord of the Rings: Don't Worry, We'll Still Have a Fuckton of Sequels"
Why Bother?
03/14/09, 12:25 PM
Who here typed in "pussy", "piece of shit" or something like that as Gary's name in the game? Shit was hilarious.

Not really  Maybe they just wanted us to know there aren't any other ones before that one.

Well by the time the second movie came out in Japan, Pokemon: The First Movie was just a blip in America (wouldn't be released until 6 months later).
That said, none of the translated Japanese titles were the same as the American names.
