Worst Local Bands

Now, before anybody says anything, I used the search function and I didn't find a thread for the worst local bands.

Now, have you ever talked to your friends about local music and gotten suggestions, or heard/seen some kids talking/promoting a local band, only to go home and check it out later and think to yourself, "This is the most god awful thing I've ever heard"? I'm not trying to be an elitist, but I hate it when all these scene kids promote a specific local band just because they play the music that's "in" right now, despite being horrible.

Here are some of the local bands I dislike. None of them are absolutely horrible, because this is just from one person's point of view, but to me I can't understand how any of these bands are popular.

Planes Crash(Post-Hardcore band, or as some would say, "Screamo")

A Shipwreck A Castaway(Trying to be popcore, but instead alternate from like powerpop to metalcore)

Killed In Action(deathcore. nuff said.)

The Premiere(generic powerpop music)

How about you guys share some local bands that you dislike?

There's a local band in my area that I just can't stand. Their music is alright but some of the guys in the band come off really cocky. It's a huge turnoff for me.

This is the same reason why I don't like UK punk, even though this has nothing to do with the thread.

good question. possibly because some people may want to hear them to either a)see why i dislike them or b)to check them out and then argue with me just for the sake of arguing. but you pose a good point. i'll edit it and take the links out so anyone who wants to check it out anyways can just search it themselves.

99% of them. I live in a tiny town surrounded by other tiny towns, and it's all just kids in tight pants and flippy hair screaming into the microphone about how br00tal they are. I can't really name any, and nobody would know them if I did. 99% might be lenient, but I have friends in them and I feel like a bitch if I say they all suck.

jesus these bands are awful. the band formerly known as prince sounds like the medic droid, which is about the worst thing anyone could ever say. those boys need a good ass kicking from their drunken step father.
