This is something I wrote and posted here a while ago, I made a few adjustments and to me it seems better than last time.

Egh. Not really liking your play on "out". Also, if all you give us about this look is that it makes you feel "down" we're not really going to understand what the look is doing. A lot of different emotions could lead a man to feel down.

Don't get the reference to "we all" when the subject is two people. Also don't get where these people who catch are coming from. Seems to me like there's a distinct notion of not having someone there anymore.

Not enough to go and make sense of this dialogue. Also, temporally things seem out of sort. Presently = not yourself; when she was gone = old you = equals bad; missing another old you? What?

Higher is typically associated with feeling good. This song does not lead one to believe the speaker feels good because of this separation, yet you state the contrary.

Really, there's not much to comment on here. Too little to make sense of what is actually happening, and I leave this feeling relatively unaffected by it.

rereading this, i'm diggin it a whole lot more. people changing / people telling you that youve changed = sucks.
