Is anyone else planning on going to this tour? It starts in about 3 weeks, and runs until 5/13. support is Matt Nathanson, Low Vs Diamond and Erin McCarley.

I'd go if I didn't already have 5 shows still lined up (no more extra money to spend) and if there wasn't just one band I know (Jack's.)

I should have gone to that show with Fun a while back, but I was stupid.

I was really bummed out for not getting tickets to the Fray/Jack's Mannequin show at the Comcast Center in Mansfield.
And then I got an email about a new Jack's show at the new HOB in Boston in April!!!!

SO glad I didn't get one for the Fray show now. Love them, but would much rather see JM and Matt Nathanson at the HOB.
So pumped right now

SF 4/7
Low vs Diamond were okay. There bassist played very basic stuff—I could probably play their songs if I tried.

Matt Nathanson was funny as hell. He had a lot of fans because he's from SF. He played a pretty long set but some songs I remember him playing are:
Car Crash
Still
Come On Get Higher
To The Beat Of Our Noisy Hearts
Detroit Waves (Kids In America Cover during the bridge)
Princess (Jessie's Girl Cover)
Wedding Dress
Answering Machine

Jack's Mannequin setlist (most of this is not in order except for the encore):
Crashin'
What Gets You Off
I'm Ready
Holiday From Real
Bruised
The Mixed Tape
Swim
Dark Blue
Bloodshot
Hammers And Strings (A Lullaby)
Me And The Moon
MFEO
The Resolution
Into The Airwaves

Encore:
Caves
Spinning
La La Lie

I may be forgetting a song or two, but I think I got most of it. I was happy to hear a SoCo song, but also disappointed that Kill The Messenger and Annie Use Your Telescope weren't played.

Swim
Dark Blue

Into the Airwaves

Encore:
Caves

Just don't scream that request out too loud because Andrew will berate you in front of the entire crowd. Some guy kept yelling Konstantine and about 2/3rds of the way through their set he said "there's always one of you assholes in every crowd..iim not gonna play that so shut the fuck up and listen to what I planned on playing or leave". I don't know if he was having a bad day or something but he seemed kinda grouchy and less interactive with the crowd than usual. I know as a fan I definitely get irritated when the 6'4 drunk frat guy(who's blocking the view for shorter female fans) starts yelling out requests for older and lesser known material before the band starts in with the next song.

Ive seen JM several times and this time around was definitely not the best I had seen from them.

Ouch. I've heard a similar story too... I hope the crowd is respectful at my show. those big drunk college guys are soo aggravating. I saw OneRepublic and Augustana a few months back, and during their acoustic songs where they requested everyone be quiet, they would start moshing and yelling- so disrespectful and rude...

I'm with ya.... I'm gonna see him on Saturday at John Carroll Univ. and I will request Doris Day. Since I know they are playing it on this tour it won't be unrealistic. Really? I was on the barricade for this show and he was smiling the entire time and seemed really into it. I didn't notice a grouchy side at all. He even laughed as he said the asshole line... and unless I'm remembering it wrong I'm pretty sure he didn't tell them to shut the fuck up. He did ask if it was okay by them that he play what he already had planned out though.

And he was an absolute sweetheart when I met him afterward so I don't know.

I thought it was a fantastic show. My only complaint was no Holiday From Real.

Rescued then Hammers and Strings was incredible, as was Caves into Cavanaugh Park. Amazing set. I also loved Matt Nathanson, I wasn't expecting him to be that funny either. Yea this is accurate. I wrote it down to post but you beat me to it. Damn long commute home.

Haha, that's because I'm about a 12 minute walk from the venue.

Was it just me or did the show seem to lack....something. It might have just been because I, personally, was exhausted. However, I felt like the show I saw at Gramercy Theater (yes! no longer titled "Blender Theater") in November was better.

I hear what you mean, though I was also tired. I feel like the crowd just wasn't into it, and he was having a hard time feeding off that.

I'm going to be beyond bummed if they don't put Rescued back into the set for the Boston show.
A few songs are rotating each night.

New York was amazing. Best concert ever. I was really upset he didn't play Rescued, WGYO and Doris Day but afterward I asked him to sign my poster with a lyric from Doris Day (I am on your side) and he was like "Awh I'm really sorry we didn't get to that one!" ahhhhhhh

and then I had to leave because of driving curfew, so I dont know the rest....

Awesome Show! It was completely sold out. Got there at 7 and saw a huge line wrapped around the building, but still managed to get a great spot on the floor. Erin McCarley was good; not my type of music, kind of reminded me of a singer at a really upscale restaurant. She played 7 songs. Matt Nathanson was HILARIOUS and had great stage presence. Really enjoyed him. He taught everyone the lyrics to his last song (Answering Machine), and said " Only the sexy people can sing this, maybe only the people who have actually masturbated to an orgasm." I think he played 10-11 songs. Then Jack's Came on.... this was my first time seeing them live and I was blown away. Andrew was completely energetic, and seemed like he was really having a good time. Some stupid girls behind me kept yelling for Konstantine and he had to give a short spill about how he wasnt going to play that. I was upset that I had to leave, but it looks like they were only going to play a few more songs. Do not even get me started on how bad the crowd was... Absolutely boring as hell, and only me and a few others were singing along. So overall it was a great show, despite the crowd

I saw the show in Baltimore then met Andrew afterwards. It was definately in the top 2 nights of my life if not the best night of my life :)

He played Holiday From Real, Cavanaugh Park and basically all my other favorites, with the exceptions of Miss Delaney and Doris Day :( but it was amazing anyways :)

The Sunfest show was great! They totally blew me away. Those two or three fireworks during Dark Blue were perfect and Andrew's face when he saw them was priceless. I was able to quickly get a picture with Dr J before the show (my mom had found him wandering around and started talking to him, haha) but I never did see Andrew/Bobby/Jay. The only downside was that asshole that jumped on the speaker/stage, but it was handled pretty well. Doris Day, MFEO, and Dream... gosh, it was awesome.
I'll be seeing them again in Orlando on Thursday and I can't wait!

I'm writing my review right now, and I totally agree. The show was so more straight forward, in-and-out than the November show. Granted I've seen JM well over 10 times now, so maybe it's starting to wear on me, but the Irving show was so much less impressive than the Gramercy show. Good show nonetheless, though.

Very awesome.

Did he talk about Obama during "Last Straw" or just drop that whole "how did that MOTHERFUCKER become the president" thing?

I want to say he let loose the "how did that MOTHERFUCKER become the president" with a little smile, but I could be wrong.

I think it should become a tradition that he always plays She Paints me Blue every time he comes to Atlanta ("atlanta started raining on me"). was really bummed to not hear it this time around
