best voice warmup techniques

hey anyone have any ideas on good vocal warmups? ive heard of just doing scales up and down but thought id ask the masses because im sure someone's got a favorite techinque

Haha I was thinking about this today.

To be honest, on the rare occasions I warm up, I only really do scales and a diaphragm exercise or two. My sister's a classical singer and she does loads of stuff. Should probably ask her what she does... Am interested to hear what other people do though.

If you're doing warm ups to record, do the motor boater thing with your lips until they're numb. You'll get less pop in the mic
