I loved For All Of This and The Acoustic EP back in middle school. I haven't really given The Room's Too Cold a chance until today and I love it. I still have to listen to The Mother, the Mechanic, and the Path and his solo stuff. I was wondering, which of Ace's works does AP.net consider his best?

Acoustic EP hands down. Hopefully nobody votes for TMTMTP cause it is such an atrocity its ridiculous. I honestly want the $8.00 back I paid for it. The free DVD with making of/band antics was better than the actual album.
Haha. I wouldn't call it an atrocity but I would call it his worst work to date. I listen to it here and there and there are some songs that are fun and awesome but a lot of it I just can't listen to. I just expected something entirely different then what actually was created. Hair and Decoration are still two of my favorite TEN songs. Also 1000 Times A Day is such a gem of a song to me. It's beautiful. The Rooms Too Cold is amazing and I would have that second on my list right behind For All Of This. Acoustic EP, all the solo stuff and ICMAM are alll amazing. I don't have the split though. Are they songs that haven't been released on a TEN CD before?

I think so.

'for all of this" would be my overall favorite ace record.
ace is a huge inspiration and all of his material is great, but that ep is just near perfect.

Nope its just a demo and a live song.
I guess I'm half right, then?

Well it was so fucking bad it broke up the band. Plus wtf were they thinking make a 3 disc concept album for their second album? Most artists double albums are lacking so how could they expect to make a good triple album.
Nope its just a demo and a live song.
I've only listened to it once or twice, but I thought The Mechanic was really good and the other two had the potential to really grow on me.

Valid points. I don't know what the hell they were thinking doing a three disc. Ambition is good and all but like you said a lot of double albums don't hold up so well so how was a three disc gonna. I think a lot of the reason for me is MMP didn't all sound like TEN to me. Some of it did but it was so different and a lot of it was much slower than most of TEN's stuff and sounded more like it could have been a side project for Ace because he wanted to dabble in a different direction.
Damn. I was hoping it would be some songs I've never heard before. That would have been sweet.

Well I figured I'd look into it since I was curious as to which was the demo and the live track...Outside is the demo and that's on The Mother, The Mechanic and The Path. That's what wiki tells me which means there weren't any new songs on it.

Understandable. I was just curious as well so I figured I'd let ya know.
Okay, I realize I'm a very small minority, but I chose "The Path". It's an amazing and ingenuitive work of art.

Room's Too Cold, then For All of This
I love the first half of I Can Make a Mess. I almost like the first half of I Can Make a Mess more than For All Of This

Stuck between Room's Too Cold and Mechanic. Mechanic was the one disc off that triplet that really emotionally stuck to me, even though it didn't have "Hair" on it.
listening to i can make a mess right now

Almost went with "For All Of This," but had to go with "The Room's Too Cold." I revisited it recently, and I think I can say it's one of my favorite records. Ever. Hearing the chorus from "No Love" in "Baby Blue" still gives me chills.
For what it's worth, I really liked MMP.

i can't stop listening to the Australian EP, it got my vote.
rosary and ready ankles are must haves for any ace/ten fan.
with that said, the best moment i have ever experienced at a concert was when TEN closed out their last show in philly with The Truth Is. I still get chills thinking about it. GADDAMMIT I WANT THAT DVD!!!!!!!!

Rosary and Ready ankles are so amazing. The other two songs are good but I neglect the hell out of them because of those two.
Also all I can listen to is When I Hit The Ground. That CD is just perfect. To me atleast.
rooms too cold, but definitely couldve gone to any of them

i REALLY want the dvd and b-sides to come out soon, realisticly i think itd come out late 2009 or early/mid 2010 if i didnt come out with the bsides and dvd by then i be extremely disappointed because ace is so amazing to his fans.. and by 2011/2012 i can defiently see a reunion tour during that time considering jeff, and joe are doing solo projects and serg and ace play together on a million different people.its just bill l..... haha

false. that was a very well written album that had a lot of depth to it. sure it wasn't as catchy, but it was still their best i think!

I'm listening to The Room's Too Cold right now and loving it, but I also love MMP. I understand that it's very different from TEN's other stuff, but it's still a good album.

i chose the mechanic because "decoration" and "this wasnt in our plan" are absolutely amazing...but just about everything this guy does is...one of my musical heroes
I'm shocked that there are people are saying that TMTMTP was "an atrocity." I loved it, especially the "softer disc," can't remember which one that was. Sure, it was ambitious and I wouldn't have understood it if I hadn't read about what the concept was, but I still thought it was really interesting. To each his own, I suppose, but I don't think there's really anything on that album that deserves a label like that. I went with ICMAMLNB though.
Sadly, I got through like three songs of the new album before I had to turn it off because it was so mediocre. The Secret Wars was soooooooooo superior to what I heard.

ace has got to be one of the most passionate musicians out there. still way to hard to choose.
The Mother, The Mechanic and The Path is probably my favorite. Since you split them up I had to choose The Mechanic. And fuck the haters.
