The Appleseed Cast Recording; Touring In December

The Militia Group (www.themilitiagroup.com)'s The Appleseed Cast (www.purevolume.com/theappleseedcast) have left us with a short recording update.

"We now enter phase 2 of recording. Which will take place at home. With the help of a small collection of mics and a 1/2 in. 8 track, we'll be building upon the tracks we recorded at Pachyderm with, vocals, noise, keys, more guitars, more noise, and whatever else ends up on the tape.
December we go out for a short North Midwest tour, and we'll then finish the recording at Blacklodge".

The next Modest Mouse or Death Cab. I just know it. The popularity they have gained within the last year is huge.
If this record is similar to Two Conversations, I'd agree. Hopefully it's more of a Mare Vitalis or Low Level Owl feel though.

another thing, when they played "forever longing the golden sky" this summer it was the happiest i have felt seeing a live band in a long long time. it was about 110 degrees in the room and everyone was soaked in sweat but no one cared, the energy and overall vibe was absolutely indescribeable and gave me chills, something i haven't felt in ages.

End of the ring wars is one of my favorite albums. I remember these guys played in a barn in 98 with the broadways and tuesday when i was a junior in h.s.. That was good ass times. Nostalgia.

i've seen appleseed cast 3 or 4 times, but the last time they came through pittsburgh (last spring-ish) was absolutely incredible. i remember them playing this (which happens to be my favorite appleseed cast song, the bridge at the end specifically) and being in this very lucid dream state. they were absolutely phenomenal. i started listening to the cast right before the low level owl discs came out (a friend gave me mare vitalis to check out on a whim), and i'm still suprised they haven't blown up yet.
