And that it gets DOMINATED in Asia (bigger market) by Sony and Nintendo? PS3 will make more money than the 360, no matter how successful it is in the USA.

Also, you have no idea of the PS3 price - nobody does. It's all speculation. I would bank on it being 450 bucks, placing it 50 above the premium xbox, yet it's nearly double as powerful. PS3 will be fine - once people see what it can do it will blow the 360 out of the water - aka, dreamcast. And do a few google searches - the initial runs of the 360 have been reported choppy, full of aliasing, and overall dissapointing.

Blue Ray is going to die? Do you realize every major movie corporation is on track to produce Blu-Ray movies? All but Universal, who is on for both (HD-DVD and Blu-Ray) but they expect them to drop HD-DVD since EVERY movie studio is on for blu-ray....

PS3 will not be that much higher then the 360 otherwise it would not be a smart marketing move on their part. I will be getting a PS3 once it comes out if I have the money.

I know what you're saying, but if it goes down as what Dreamcast was for Sega, the culmination of their game making prowess but also their death knell, then so be it.

The first Xbox was so mediocre though. People should really quit wasting their money, drop 1300 to make a high quality box and pick up PC gaming. The games are significantly better and the graphics will always be better, you can at least upgrade these systems unlike consoles. If I get one, I'll probably get the Revolution for the pure entertainment value. If the PS3 decides it can actually consistently make good games (Unlike the PS2) maybe I will get involved. The software for the PS2 and the Xbox was just so underwhelming I had no interest in any of them, and in all honesty their software was shown up by the Gamecube. It's kind of funny how so many people are preaching the ascension of the console as a giant industry, just when I think it's really falling apart. In their haste to make great technology they forgot games are what make the systems great.

i played call of duty 2 yesterday, it was pretty sweet, nothing new though...like ive said xbox is a port system, although hopefully rare starts putting out some quality stuff again.

I have never had a problem finding a new game to play for it. I think that is probably one of the strongest things about the PS2 was the fact that it had more and better games then the XBox aside from Halo, which I think is overrated anyway.
I couldn't really get into PS2 though, their games just seemed so redundant over each other, although I am definitely buying Okami when it comes out early next year. That is going to be magical. Game Cube personally was the best with the Prime's, Eternal Darkness, Mario Kart, Smash Bros., Soul Calibur II and the grand poobah, Resident Evil 4.
