This is just a biography of him, but I'm just trying to show you guys that he's a fucking lunatic. Not to mention, he's now boycotting The Colbert Report because Stephen Colbert's name is French. Why does FOX News continue to employ a man who is blatantly prejudice?

WTF? The Colbert Report is all satire anyway-- it's not even anything serious. Mr. O'Reilly really needs find a more constructive hobby.

Remember the comment made about the stupid Daily Show audience that was statistically more informed than his own audience? I loved that.

Did we watch the same Daily Show? Clearly when Stewart asked him if he was still running the boycott France thing and he said something along the lines of, "Of course........that's why you can't watch that Colbert show" it was more joking than actually trying to boycott Colbert because they had been talking about Colbert earlier in the interview.

Anyone else see this?

the idea of oreilly actually wanting to boycott Colbert's show because his name is French doesnt pass the stink test.

Yeah, it was a joke. Because hating on O'Reilly is the cool rebellious scene thing to do though, I can see how one might miss the sarcasm there.

i think it basically is, but in the interview with Stewart he asked Oreilly if he was still doing the boycott France, and Oreilly replied, "Yes, that's why you shouldn't watch that Colbert show"

well I read in US weekly that he called for a boycott of The Colbert Report, I know I know, US weekly isn't very reliable, but he still IS boycotting everything French. He's a retard.

To answer your question is simple. Because Fox News has a certain audience and that audience adores O'Rielly.

I read that in the US Weekly too, but you need to watch the interview.

As far as the boycott goes I dont have a problem with it. Oreilly has a genuine complaint against the French government. I dont think it's a bright idea for him to joke about Colbert's name beign French because it seems as if his problem is with the French people (perhaps it is), but is complaint against the government is legit. Many of the French foreign policies are conflicting with ours and Chirac has always been known to not be the best friend of the US.

OK, seriously Cal. I understand and respect the fact that you're a Republican, and I understand the fact that The Colbert Report boycott was a joke, but you can't actually try to defend The Factor as a more legitimate place than The Daily Show to become well-informed....

I'll admit I watch The Factor probably about once a week, but only for it's comic value.

I don't like O'reilly that much, but he does a good job of bring child molestation issues to forefront of his show. He can spew his bullshit all he wants as long as he keeps fighting for the protection of innocent children. I can agree to disagree with him on most issues, and I respect his convictions. He does more than most to bring the issue of weak child molestation laws to light, and I applaud him for that.

With regards to the comment; it was a joke get over it. He does joke around on his show quite a bit, and contrary to popular belief some conservatives have a sense of humor. I never said it was a good sense of humor, but they have one. :)

On a side note…If he is boycotting everything French, why not the Statue of Liberty?

O'reilly's boycott fo the french isn't because he doesn't like french people, its because of legitmate reasons, for example, he called for a boycott on Target because it was owned by a french company who wouldn't allow the US Marine Corps to run their annual "Toys for Tots" campaign in their stores because of the war in Iraq, which is absolutely absurd because, despite your stance on the war, how can you deny needy children a toy at christmas? supporting "Toys for Tots" doesn't mean you support the war.

it's prejudice by definition. To single out any one group of people especially because of their country, is prejudice. We all know his reasoning, but it doesn't justify anything. And honestly, who believes that this boycott is actually working? I bet it's cost France hundreds of dollars. lol

They both present about a sentece's worth of the facts...then lots of ridiculous commentary. The only difference is John Stewart is being sarcastic on purpose and some people actually take everything O'Reilly says to be right.

Nowadays I would rather watch the Factor over the Daily Show... the Daily is not as funny as it was four/five years ago, and the Factor I can at least laugh at O'Reilly being a huge asshat to everybody he talks to.

The Colbert Report trumps both of them.

I haven't watched comedy central with any consistency since they canceled tough crowd. And the fact they canceled it for "political" reasons gives me very little interest in ever returning as a regular viewer.........

Greg Giraldo: The internet's a creepy thing, especially if you have kids. It says something very creepy about the fact that I use the same machine to masturbate with as I use to teach my kid the alphabet.

???

It was the opinions expressed and the brashness of the host and guests that got the show canceled. Its rating weren’t spectacular, but they were better then what it was originally replaced with and higher then most shows on Comedy Central.

It’s also bullshit they wouldn’t relinquish rights to the show, which they obviously didn’t want anymore, so that Colin could take it somewhere else. This will probably also stop any future DVD releases......

Some web site ran an article on the ratings of cc shows compared to tough crowd, after it was canceled......it might have been futoncritic, but i'm not sure (its been about two years now, hasn't it?)...

tough crowd blew my balls. Colin Quinn was a retard. I remember I'd watch it and I wouldn't be able to understand what the hell he was saying cause he'd always stutter. And everytime they had a comic on there that had a little bit of common sense, that comic would be the one getting all the applause.
