I haven't been listening to anything different or new at all. Same old stuff.

------------------------Josh Lacey's Recommendations------------------------

House of Fools (www.purevolume.com/houseoffools)- Holy shit! See this band play a show. They are like the Format meets Queen. What could be better than that? Pretty incredible. Don't think of them as a Drive-Thru band and try and pigeon hole them - they are a great band signed to a great label. You know, the whole world knocked Drive-Thru when they signed Finch (people said screamo would never be big) and Something Corporate (WTF?? Piano Rock? Is what they said) and it took the music world a while to catch on that the bands were great, don't let it happen again. House of Fools, Socratic, and Houston Calls are leading a new era of Drive-Thru bands that people haven't caught on to yet, I'm telling you, these bands are great. Don't get caught with your pants down and be the last person to fall in love with them.

Jonezetta (www.purevolume.com/jonezetta)- Amazing Amazing band from the bible belt somewhere. Their 5 song demo is tits. Watch out for these guys - they are one of the best new bands I've heard in a long long time.

Sullivan (www.sullivancares.com)- Their debut is going to turn heads everywhere. Seriously amazing.

Forgive Durden (www.forgivedurden.com)- Great technical indie rock from Seattle that is flowing with hooks. I think their full length is going to be impressive. Is Seattle the new Chicago? Only time will tell.

Panic! At The Disco (www.panicatthedisco.com) - Yes they are blowing up, yes they are that good, yes they're 18, yes they are the next big thing, yes I'm a loser.

One last thing - I want to say how disappointed I am in my beloved Boston Red Sox. Growing up in Boston I have been through thick and thin with this team and the way the Theo Epstein situation was handled has left a bad taste in my mouth. I almost retired my Sox hat. A message to bosses everywhere: make your employees feel appreciated and don't slander them in the local media, especially if they are the best general manager in baseball and a fucking Boston legend at age 31. Sad, Sad times. Baseball fans out there - post what you think about the nasty public split between the Red Sox and Theo Epstein - I'm curious.

i think they should take the quote "learn three chords and start a band" to "learn to play a synthesizer and start a band".....i dont get this phase right now, i mean some bands use it really well and others just throw it in there at all the wrong times. i'm sure i'll get my precious scene points taken down for this, but come on P!ATD is like Fall Out Boy with a bad synthesizer....in a year nobody will remember who they are as they struggle to make a sophomore cd.

first off, josh lacey- amazing booking agent. i totally agree with house of fools, love their stuff, was able to catch a little bit of their set at bamboozle and it was pretty darn cool. gotta tip my hat to forgive durden too of course. they will blow up and all those effers who didn't come see them on their tour with this providence and the weakend this past spring will wish they did.

House of Fools and Sullivan. Two bands from my area that I've seen play for years (well, House of Fools was basically The Necessary), and it's weird to see them getting attention now. But they work hard and deserve it, so congrats to them. Everyone should definitely check them out. NC...the new Seattle? Probably not. But there's still some good music coming out of this state.

epstein left because he didn't want to go through larry l for approval. i'm sure the leaking of info pushed him over the edge. a g.m. can come from anywhere, it was mostly those around him that made the biggest moves. like a cabinet. plus, you cant be famous in boston and do a damn thing in public. we suck. we pull out our camera phones and ask for pictures all the time. if youre popular in boston you have to watch dvds all night to avoid the nagging fans
