Antony and the Johnsons (http://www.antonyandthejohnsons.com/) - What a voice. Honestly, I cannot believe how powerful the vocals are, and how much soul is on this album. Everybody should do themselves a favor and listen.
The Bouncing Souls (http://www.bouncingsouls.com/) - Their live double CD, to be released on November 22nd, reminded me just how much I miss the fast-paced, fist pumping anthems that were so prominent in the 90s. Full of energy and hooks, and it proves that 15 years after 17 years of existence, the Souls still have it.
Feller Quentin (http://www.fellerquentin.com/) - I Am Not a Monster is an album I didn't know what to think of at first, but it's an interesting piece of music. Sometimes it gets a bit too experimental (30 seconds of card-shuffling noises), but for the most part it is entertaining folk with some unique twists.
That's all of my CD recommendations for now, but be sure to watch some of this great hockey action in the NHL right now. Great season so far.
