Seattle weather has caused the Nintendo Fusion tour for tonight to be postponed (http://www.concerteventcenters.com/calendar/event.php?id=375).

Yeah, I guess the only good thing is that I was smart enough to get tickets early so I didn't have to pay out the ass on ebay.

haha it's definitely not the weather here that caused 'em to postpone...did they not play in boise either? now i'm kinda glad i didn't get tickets.

Haha yeah, if I had the blinds up another 6 inches I would be blinded by the sun right now. Today is the nicest it's been in a couple weeks. It's beautiful.

Why would anyone even consider buying a ticket to see Fall Out Boy on eBay? Their live show isn't that good.

since when is rain that bad? im pretty sure most of these bands don't have shitty tour vans that can't get through some torrential downpour. besides, i've seen tours that size come through upstate NY during blizzards. oh well.. that sucks, i don't really know when they'd be able to reschedule the tourdate. sorry seattle :(

Okay people heres what happened. (I know becuase this is why i couldn't get to the show in the first place. )
There was a freak rock-slide over snoqualmie (sp?) pass and it's now closed indefinitly until the rocks stop falling off the side of the fucking mountain. And all the other ways over the mountain weren't allwoing "over-sized" vehicles aka tour-buses. The only other way through would be to drive down to portland and back up and they wouldn't be able to make it in time.
There you go.

Belive me it was the weather, I was up all night dealing with them trying to make a decison to cancel or not. I flew from NYC to Seattle to be there with the Startingline line (who I manage) but all the bus drivers and crews felt it was too dangerous to go over the mountains near Pendalton. The decison was based on the info from this link:
http://167.131.0.179/Pages/RCMap.asp?curRegion=3&mainNav=RoadConditions
The link was from the department of Transportation. I just wasted my whole weekend on a plane to be with a bunch of people and was left borded at a hotel and came back home.
The weather sucks but after what went down last week people are being smart and relizing their saftey sometimes needs to come first.

Actually we looked into that route too and the roads were too unsafe to pass there!

as dissapointed as I am, I would rather have the bands cancle and be alive to come back than for them to be dead and never get to see them again.

we drove about 3 1/2 hours from eugene, oregon all the way to 1 hour north of portland/vancouver when we found out about the cancellation.
oh well, even if they come back, i guarantee all 5 bands won't be back too.
if they DO come back, maybe they will hit up portland as well. nobody drives across country for ONE show.

Yeah...heres an idea for next time...PORTLAND not Boise.....WTF mate....
Amnd it had to of been the rock slide because there is no way there was ANY snow on I84 which takes you from eastern oregon to Portland..gosh im so mad!
I just realized I'm an idiot because they would have had to go over mountains to get out of Idaho....GRR im so mad that they chose Boise over Portland

I was actually watching tickets on ebay just to see how high they would get and they were going for more than $100 a piece more like $150 the last couple days. I think Craigs list had like 20 people asking to pay 100 each a ticket and they didnt even get tixs. As for Snoqualmie pass they did close that pass but you dont take that one coming from Boise. I dont blame them though it has been raining here for a week straight and snowing on all the passes for the last couple of days. Good news for Skiers shitty for everyone else.

if you read one of the eariler posts they still wouldnt have made it to the venue in time if they had done that.

I was half way to seattle when i found out it was postponed (It sounds better and less sad than cancelled)... i was quite sad but i'd rather have all of the bands not get hurt and be able to come back. i hope all 5 get to come back... i reeealllyy wanted to see them allll. =( see i thought since they cancelled Boise that they'd have more time to drive slowly and safely up here....Since the November 3rd date was in San Fran... but oh well..... i hope it works out in December... im crossing my fingers.

They canceled the show at 10am.....they had time to take a friggin alternate route.....if it takes 3 hours from where they were usually ...tack on another 3 hours for an alternate route....thats 4 pm.....thats pushing it because doors were ar 5pm...but hmm lets push the doors back 1 hour and everyone is happy hahha
But yeah i am glad they are all safe but we all know this isnt going to get rescheduled:(

Considering that bands have to load their shit in in the early afternoon, there was no way that show could've happened anyway.

plus there is all that nintendo shit that they have to set up. when i went last halloween they spent most of the day setting everything up, plus they cant take the show late into the night because places have laws about how loud you can be and different things like that.

Hey man, I'm not necessarily supporting the bands' decision to cancel, but before you go saying stuff I suggest you get your facts straight. Everything that I've heard and read says they were coming from Boise. It takes at least 7 hours to get to Seattle from Boise, not 3. However, it should have only taken an extra 2-3 hours for an alternate route, so I don't see how they couldn't have just left a couple of hours earlier to go through Portland, unless those roads were blocked too. I feel bad for the people who bought tickets to this. I didn't, but it sucks to be out 30+ bucks. Also, I think the venue is telling people that it might get rescheduled for the first week of December, but I don't think all 5 bands will be there.

yeah....however I heard they were stuck AT the pass....the pass is only 2 hours from seattle MAX....so an alternate route would have taken 5-6 hours...but yeah i understand the nintendo stuff having to be setup
and yeah supposedly going to be rescheduled but we will see about that....who drives all the way from New Jersey, etc to play one show in Seattle of all places? Well here's hoping FOB and this show does

well yea....Fall Out Boy....I was going for ALL of the bands though haha...thats why I paid $32
FOB alone is worth $20:) well okay maybe more but I justified the $32 for 5 bands not just one:)
