What is the one video game that you've played that had you addicted the longest?
For me it would either be Animal Crossing GCN or Harvest Moon 64.

I was a fiend to Pokemon for a while, but major addict to Zelda Ocarina of Time and FF7. I even used to fake sick in junior high so I could stay home and play it.

I've been playing Halo 2 online all night. That game is so addictive.
Outside of that I'd have to say any Final Fantasy game really or Winning Eleven. Totally different games but they got me.

I would play Tony Hawk 2 on N64 until I had such a huge blister from the Cdown button on my thumb that I couldnt play anymore for that day.

That same exact thing happened to me with the original Tony Hawk game. I thought I was the only one...BFF?
I am the best Tony Hawk player I know.

I don't even know what my highest score was. I know that I've reset the score with the moon bounce cheat in Tony Hawk 2 or 3. There would be no way to prove it. People would have to take screenshots of the best that they do for proof with themselves holding an "AP.net/[Date]" picture.
I wish though. It'd be fun. Someone organize it.

What's that? I did my highest scores on Tony Hawk 4, but that's only because that's the one I played the most.

The problem is there aren't enough hardcore gamers here. I wanted to do something like this for Yoshi Touch N Go, but realized it wouldn't work well.
We need to find popular games to get the highscores going.

Problem is most hardcore gamers don't even play consoles. I mainly played RPG's and sports games, and games like Mario Kart, Soul Calibur II and Smash Brothers recently. Besides that, PC games for the win, far more addicting with their far larger scale gameplay. Smash Brother is extremely addictive too, and when the Final Fantasy series was good it was addictive.

Look at online forums. There are some damn hardcore gamers that live and breathe Metroid, Zelda, and Mario, and games like that. I'm all about that stuff. PC games seem to be all FPS and MMORPGs, and that gets redundant after a while.

I know, for the most part the people that grew up playing those still play every rendition, but outside the main games that are coming out, the rest of the stuff that comes out in schlock. The only really great console games that came out in the past three years in my opinion are Katamari Damacy, Resident Evil 4 and Gran Turismo 4. Maybe God of War, but that was a little redundant and not engaging quite often. But im saying the hardcore of the hardcore are another level, I'm talking about the people that dedicate their lives to it, people that play consoles don't. I have friends who live and breathe WoW, I can't stand it. I'm not hardcore, the only games I play are Katamari Damacy and Battlefield 2, with occasional bouts of Counter-Strike and soon Soul Calibur III. But yeah, you were just misunderstanding my definition of hardcore.

i play UT 2004 now, but i played UT until UT 2003. To me, multiplyer deathmatch FPS's don't get better or more consistent. I never get as angry playing UT as I do in Halo (mostly because while Halo is fun, its the most inconsistent game around when it somes to weaponry)

i played it way to much though, for like a year i'd build a park to the max and start all over again just to experiment, i'd also do stupid stuff like fire all the janitors so the kids would puke (i could never auctually kill the park visitors though), i blame it on having no life because i was living in russia at the time.

Not to mention that Yoshi Touch N Go sucks. If there is gonna be one of those types of games PLEASE make it Kirby: Canvas Curse. It's the same idea, but better implimented and doesn't feel like another beta test for the DS.

Yoshi Touch N Go is an incredible game. It managed to log in more hours on my DS than anything else because I was competing with my girlfriend for dominance in it.
Kirby is a completely different game, and not similar at all other than drawing things for the character to move on. One is an arcade/high score game, one is a platformer. Kirby is great, though. I won't argue that.
