Okay, so tomorrow I will be seeing Third Eye Blind, Augustana opening...I will be posting the set list soon after so be ready!

Do you know if Augustana will still be on tour with them at the end of May? My girlfriend wants to go see TEB and it's only $7.00, so I'll be stoked if Augustana is there.

is it cheap because it's part of the rib cookoff?

punkweezer44
03/20/09, 12:37 AM
it was only 20 bucks for me...did you check the 3EB website? i'm pretty sure augustana is going to be with them the whole time...which BY THE WAY, they rocked tonight...and here is the setlist for THIRD EYE BLIND:

Intro
Non Dairy Creamer
Losing a Whole Year
Crystalballer
Jumper
Wounded
Motorcycle Drive By
A Sharp Knife
Graduate
Semi Charmed Life (with a bit of Nelly's Ride Wit Me!)
Why Can't You Be
Outro

Encore:
Never Let You Go
Bonfire? (not really sure, at this point i was so freakin' hungry that my head was hurting)

I'm pretty sure that's the complete set list, i was having such a blast I'm not sure if that's the EXACT order, but more or less...

Jumper then Semi Charmed Life were the last ones before the encore, and they also played How's It Gonna Be? before playing the acoustic bit of Bonfire at the end.

The sound was absolutely horrible, but what can you expect in a coliseum? The parts I could hear sounded great, but most of the show was thundering bass and horrible echo. I also wish they would play a few more songs off of Out of the Vein.

punkweezer44
03/20/09, 09:39 AM
meh, i was like fifteen feet away from the stage so it was all apples to apples for me! i do agree, out of the vein has some splendifirous songs on there, but hey, ive wanted to see them for like 12 years now, so i'm not complaining! mission accomplished...now on to see no doubt and 311!

I looked the other day and it didn't list an opener, I checked Augstana's MySpace page and it doesn't have that show listed. That'd be nice if they where there too but I doubt it since it wasn't listed on TEB, Augstana's sites or Pollstar.

Yes, it is. The line-up is pretty decent this year.

hmm, well which exact date are you speaking of? i could try to do some reconnaissance work on facebook...

So, it's basically like their tour last Spring? And wow to think it was a year ago already...

I'm seeing them tomorrow as part of a radio show for $5 at a dog track. I really hope we get a set similar to this, because I'm dying to hear Motorcycle Drive By live.

Thats it? thats a rather short set

They played in Tampa a couple weeks ago and it was the same songs (in a different order) with Slow Motion and 2 more (maybe 3) new songs that I didn't catch the names of (although I think one was Break Me).

cr7uz8
04/14/09, 04:44 PM
that does seem short last time i saw them they played like 18 songs... 13 is not enough i hope motorcycle driveby stays on the setlist, it was there best song live i think...

Does anyone have augustanas set list?

it kills me that they were in philly last night with the matches and it was my birthday. im seeing them tomorrow though unfortunately without the matches which would have been a sweet opening act. oh well third eye blind should be amazing.

more people to need to post set-lists from this tour. i cant find out anywhere who the opening act is for the moravian show tomorrow and it starts at 8 so i think 3eb might be the only band playing. i'm expecting a longer set then the one posted. i could go for at least three more from the self-titled. so many gems on that cd.

In Philly tonight, the Upwelling opened while I was still drinking in the parking lot. For us they started with Faster, and also at some points throughout the night played Blinded and Palm Reader in the acoustic couch set, and during the encore they played Slow Motion and God of Wine, on top of everything you have here.

Sort of dissapointed in the lack of songs from Blue but they rocked as usual.

Awesome show! I had so much fun. I missed the upwelling but I am sure I will catch them at a future 3eb show as they seem to always open for them. The new songs sounded great as well as the old favorites and it was a really good mix of songs. Definitely check out this tour if you have the chance. I am super siked for Ursa Major as well it should be great!

Oh man...My brother is a junior at B-Port, but is studying abroad this semester. He's probably upset he missed this.

As for me, I'll be at the free show in Albany on May 9th. Stellastar and Wild Light are opening.

Augustana is not with them at that show. View From Everest is the technical opener as of now, but there is still a small possibility of a band playing between the two.

This is assuming you are talking about the Rib Cook-off

I am talking about The Great American Rib Cook Off or whatever the full title of it is now. I saw the ad for it in last weeks Scene newspaper with the line-up. I doubt anyone else will play with them though. Should be good for $5.00.

P.S. Love the avatar.

Yeah, you can't find a better deal than that. And, if you like Keane, they are just as cheap to see on Sunday.

I just won a pair of tickets to see these guys play a private show at the Hard Rock in Boston on Monday. Never seen them live, but love so many of their songs, so I'm pumped. It's in the afternoon before their show at the HOB, so who knows what the set will be like.

Very disappointing set at DC 101 Chili Cook Off, due to rain delaying them quite a while right before they came on of course.

I'm like 90% sure the order is correct, my mind was pretty altered all day so bare with me.

Intro
Faster
Non Dairy Creamer
Don't Believe a Word
Wounded
Graduate
Jumper
Semi Charmed Life (Also with the chorus of Ride Wit Me thrown in at the end, haha which was fun.)

Overall I was only mad because I didn't hear Why Can't You Be, which I was really looking forward to. Happy to hear Wounded, though.

So glad I finally got to see them, hopefully they come around in their next tour instead of playing a festival as such.

I never knew that Third Eye Blind still had a following. I thought they had broken up. Colour me surprised.
Worth listening to? I've only really heard their really mainstream hits like Semi-Charmed Life. An album rec would be nice. :-d

I would start with the s/t. But, really all their albums are good. They only have three and finding a used copy should be cheap and easy.

Awesome show last night. Crowd was really, really into them. They seemed genuinely grateful and happy. Setlist was pretty much the same as posted above a few posts. They have a sweet little acoustic set up for a few songs in the middle. Stephan was promoting Ursa Major a lot so hopefully it will actually get released!

They would have been neat to hear acoustic, but I am glad I got to hear How's It Going To Be (My Favorite Song) instead.

It was the upwelling for the Philly show and most of the tour, to my knowledge.
