View Full Version : All Men's Colleges
Are there any all men's colleges (that aren't Jewish), besides Wabash, Morehouse and Hampden Sydney? If you went to (or go to) an all-male college, what was your experience like?

Why the hell would you want to go to an all-male college and why would you want to begin making that decision at 14?

ummm why? Why would you not? I don't see the point in going to school with girls. Some of my friends go to All-boys college-prep schools, and the say it's so much more relaxed and chill than a co-ed school. This:

Would never happen at a co-ed school.

That's far too passive for a sausage-fest.

Yes, but seeing girls also wouldn't happen. I guess if light-sabres are your kind of thing for four years, then have fun, Luke Skywalker.
You're fourteen. Worry about schools later.

This.
Wait until girls actually start paying attention to you and you'll look back on this thread and laugh.

Rather, wait until girls start actually paying attention to your light sabre.
Oh, Snap!
(Pardon the immaturity.)

You're fourteen. Worry about schools later. Why would you need to see your girlfriend at school? And, I should be thinking about school, considering I want to go to a good college.

This thread should be forever saved, so when this guy grows up we can use it as blackmail or something.
This.

Hahahaha wow
You shouldn't have that mentality, girls like confidence. Just ignoring them because you think you aren't good looking is not the way to go about things.

Maybe the girls up north are a little more reserved than the ones here, but in my school, every single girl is obnoxious and doesn't shut up. I hate being in class doing something interesting, and having some c-word yell across the class to another girl and seeing the teacher ignore it. I don't hate girls, but I could live without having to see them everyday.

Well, if you really want a good all-male school, there are a few.

That's because they are 14 years old my friend, it gets better, much fucking better.

Damn, I hate it when all those girls interfere with my education. Sometimes they sneak up behind me in the library and burn by textbooks and strip.
It's really problematic.
Seriously, I go to a school with, I think, a 60:40 female:male ratio. I still do very well in school; I still focus; I am not constantly assaulted my roving girls with fire-cannons.
Worry not, and relax. You are, afterall, only fourteen.
That's because they are 14 years old my friend, it gets better, much fucking better. Well, it does not seem like that from what I've seen. The ones I used to be friends with are obsessed with nothing besides drinking and smoking weed and whatnot, and I wouldn't care if they didn't jump at the chance to talk about it constantly.

And guys are somehow different?
You seem pretty focused--do well in school, and you can get into a good college. When you get into a good college, all the girls and guys aren't vapid burnouts.

Because at your school you are only surrounded by girls at your young age, wait till you grow up.

All girls aren't like that. Not at all. Not meant to be sexist. I'm raised by just my mom and her circle of friends who are all successful women, so I'm the last person who would be chauvinistic. I pretty much made this choice about two weeks ago after our Chem/Phys class. We had just been on our Astronomy unit, and Astronomy is something that interests me a lot (to the point where I would like to major in Astrophysics in college), and there were these girls that would not stop talking. I was about 5 minutes away from turning around and telling them to shut up.

Hesitation?
I've turned around to people in lectures before who were talking obnoxiously and loudly and told them to shut the fuck up.
The fact that they were girls, too, is no reason to discount girls entirely. From my experience, girls are generally a lot more focused and less irritating with academic related things than guys.
And like we've been saying, as you get older, it gets a lot better.

As someone who went to an all boys high school, I can vouch for there being some good qualities. However, we also had an all girl school right down the block.
All boy college though? No way.
