If you ask him anyway...anybody else here him talking about how he finally shut up the people who say he can't pass from the pocket with his mindblowing 228 yards against a bad team yesterday?

yes, and thats fucking hilarious. if he plays the rest of the season with similar numbers, then MAYBE people can stop saying shit about him, but until then, im gonna continue.

I saw it, it was ridiculous. He acts like one game makes up for years of inadequate passing.

haha, i saw that piece on sportscenter this morning. Very humerous.

If he can win a title being that shitty of a pocket passer then I will leave him alone. But like someone else said, one game doesnt free him from criticism.

fuck that, make him an option quarterback. Probably would fail miserably, but thats what he was destined to be, a running quarterback with mediocre passing.

he did throw one of the most amazing running passes ive ever seen. An beautiful 40 yard bomb. but it wasn't in the pocket...

Being an option quarterback is what got him all the attention in the first place when he was at Tech. Too bad that style doesn't translate to well in the NFL.

Haha, I know. Good quarterbacks will have 220 yards at least by the 3rd quarter.

manning only had like 240 yds this week against the 49ers...you dont need the yds. its making the passes when needed and not making idiotic mistakes like vick has numerous times.

like i said in another thread...vick is overrated and too injury prone.

Yardage can be a hollow stat most of the time. Efficiency like passer rating, YPA, comp. %, TD % matter more. But Vick lacks in those areas too, so he's an all around mess at QB when it comes to throwing.

espn reported he has more games (15) with a passer rating less than 70...then he does with a 100+ (11)

That sounds about right. I'm curious what the team record is in those games too. I'm too lazy to do it myself right now.

Vick's got a pocket like jnco jeans. Even when he's 'in the pocket', he's still running around in it. It's like he has ADD.
