Armor For Sleep (http://www.armorforsleep.com/) has won a voting competition called OvenFresh on Fuse TV with their new video for "The Truth About Heaven." The video beat out major artists Green Day, System of a Down, Spoon, Straylight Run, The Dandy Warhols, and Morningwood by a landslide margin of over 20%. The song "The Truth About Heaven" comes from Armor For Sleep's new album, "What To Do When You Are Dead," which recently surpassed the 100,000 sales mark in October. Directed by Alan Ferguson (Fall Out Boy, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, etc), "The Truth About Heaven" video follows the concept in the lyrical content of the song; a ghost, looking back on the people he has left behind. The video was also showcased on November 2nd at the mtvU Woodie Awards in New York City when it was played alongside My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy videos to a packed Roseland Ballroom industry crowd.

14 year old girls don't care about lyrics ... they just want to give some groupie ass and whore around with the musicians. So you're right ... most of the time the general public won't get even the most obvious concept albums.

then look at how theyre blowing up.

..yeah no one cares. Armor For Sleep definitely deserves this, i think they have the perfect sound to get bigger, i'm almost surprised they arent already.

I think I would go crazy if Armor for sleep ended up like fallout boy. Not the fame and fortune...they deserve that.
I mean screaming girls and MTV.com writting an article about them every day a la fallout boy ("news just in...Pete said he likes cheese page one of 12!").

It would be quite difficult to market a concept album, especially one that deals with the issues that AFS do.

I disagree, I think WTDWYAD is great (it's in my top 10 of 2005), but I do like "Dream To Make Believe".

They were deciding to go with "Things that Disapear" or "The Ground That Gave Up" for their first cd but than totally changed it and went with "Dream to Make Believe"

What to Do When You Are Dead has been out for so long now, this song seems ancient to me for some reason. The other song where they sing "don't believe that the weather is perfect the day that you die" the entire time just ruined The Truth About Heaven for me. It gets too damned repetetive
