JamisonParker (http://www.jamisonparker.com) has officially disbanded:

over and done with....
the band is officially broken up. i apologize for not posting this sooner but in all honesty this is the first chance that i've had. as far as reasoning goes, i felt that it was time to move on. there will be new music, new bands, and more touring in the near future... just not together and not as jamisonparker. i want to thank everyone who bought the album, stole the album, wore the shirts, came to shows, sent us emails, spread the word, and just allowed the music to become a part of your life. i can't put into words how much i appreciate every day that you all helped this band stay alive. i can only hope to have that same support in the future.thanks again.... see you soon....

never liked them. just another band all the closet TRL watching girls could swoon over. my friend refered to them as folk. this shit ain't folk. you want folk, listen to Nick Drake, Elliott Smith, etc. This band has extremely cliche lyrics, also.

I really like their full length ... it'll probably make my top ten list for the year ... and I also enjoyed them live, but you could tell when observing them offstage that there was a whole lot of tension between everyone involved. My band was able to play with them the last time they came to Cleveland and even before the crowd showed up, Jamison just kind of sulked around and Parker was nowhere to be found. Once people got there, it got even worse. Either way, I'm sure they'll make great music seperately in the future.

Unfortunate news, another band to the scrape heap. Although this doesn't have the same effect on me as other band break ups it just reminds me how everything has been turning to shit the last 2 years as 4 of my favorite bands have already called it quits, The Movielife, Beloved, Name Taken and Northstar. I'm still reeling from TML thing. And it just seems like there's no new life coming to the scene to at least partially fill the void these bands are leaving behind.

First of all, that's not happening. All three members have outside projects, not to mention BANDS with their own releases and tours. Let's also remember the fact that, at this point, Mark and Travis haven't talked with Tom since February.

Second of all, they went on an "indefinite hiatus," not a "heiatis." Indefinite doesn't mean they're getting back together for sure.

I'm as big a Blink fan as there is, but please don't spread these awful rumors around the internet.

Man this is horrible...I've been into this band for over two years now...they were one of my favorites, I'd told so many people about them. I always saw them blowing up and being huge one day.

I still have the notes&photographs EP with the polaroid cover, it was one of the second batch...and I have the Sleepwalker autographed cover too...the worst part though is I never got to see them live. I wanted to go so badly a couple years ago when they were on tour with Straylight Run and the Plain White T's and they came here to Nashville, but I couldn't make it...this really sucks. I ended up not seeing Northstar live either (with Straylight Run too, oddly) and they broke up.

Note to self: Go see any fucking band Straylight Run comes to TN with that I like, otherwise I might regret it. Who are they on tour with now? Simple Plan and somebody else....dammit I bet it's a band I like.

How many decent bands have broken up in the last 3 years that actually meant something to people?

So if i could understand Icelandic (could be wrong) I'm in good with god. Great.
actually they made up thier own language for some of thier old releases...

and it has nothing to do with understanding the language anyway, just liking the ambience and music.

the first time i saw these guys at the house of blues in cleveland w/ the starting line and they blew my mind, and that was before they even had their full length out, so noone really knew the songs but the still had the crowd liking it. saw them again at the grog shop in cleveland like 2 months ago and thay still had the crowd going. i wanna hear each members new projects soon.

It sucks. I didn't really get into their full-length as much as I'd hoped but the Notes & Photographs EP showed some serious promise once you set the 'my girlfriend dumped me and I want to die' lyrics to one side.

Hey Mercedes broke up? I need to keep up with the news.

or hopelandic. but, no. you dont have to understand it, who said anything about having to understand it, you just have to listen to it. its better than the popular bands these days anyways

I adore Sigur Ros. I get to see them next week, rock.

I have been friends with both Jamison and Parker since before they were even a band or had a name. To those of us who worked or lived close to this band we all knew it was time for this to happen. I'm not going to sit here and post each thing wrong with them but I can assure you they will both be happier working on their own projects.

Sometimes people grow apart but in this situation I don't know if they ever grew together to have time to grow apart. The music biz does crazy things to people and I'm sure in time plenty of people will look back on this and learn from both Jamison, Parker and the rest of the team helping them's mistakes because we all made them!

As the bands manager I'd like to take a second to thank Scott, Ted, Jarrod, John, BJ, Joseph and Hunter all these guys put a huge part of their life into this band and they deserve some thanks for helping to keep this band going for as long as it lasted. I'd also like to thank all the people at Interscope that cared so much and worked harder than anyone could have ever asked.

Before this sounds like some kind of award acceptance I'll stop. But before I do really want to thank the bands that did both JamisonParker and me personal favors to take them on tour, I'm not going to list all your names but you know who you are and Thank you!

Music just got a little better.

On a side note, I saw one of these dudes at a party once. Not sure if it was Jamison or Parker, but he was tall and skinny and wore eyeliner and had hair that looked like it was a wig off of a raver chick.

We mocked him, alot.

So does anybody know if they dropped out of the tour they're on with JulianaTheory?
I'd like to know cos I spent 15 bucks and was stoked to see them live, despite the fact I don't like JT at all. Anyway, any info would be cool.

I loved JamisonParker, so much. I am so sorry about this break up. But i hear about new bands and new music coming in the future from both of them, so i guess i can say i am more excited about this than the break up.
I love Jamison. Yes dude, I love you. I can't wait to hear what you have next to offer. Your music is great.
Good luck guys with your new musical projects.

this sucks, but i'm not super surprised. when the news post came out a day or two ago about this being "rumored" i was like damn i hope that's not totally true, but i'd believe it. i saw them at SXSW this past march and they were great (i have some amazing pictures that i was supposed to send jamison but i keep forgetting to email him). but then i saw them back at the beginning of Sept with waking ashland in AustinTX and even tho Jonathan of W.A. was sick and they played an acoustic/piano set, they seemed to enjoy themselves more than JamisonParker did. and jamison didn't sing well this show, either, but that happens. they were great guys to talk to, but seemed like they lost the passion to play and didn't care anymore. the sleepwalker cd is amazing and i will always listen to it.

sucks, but i hope that with this one bad thing we will have two positive news posts in the future about them.
