View Full Version : We're Back.

I've put the website back up (because I know you missed us), the update is complete however not everything on the website has been ported over yet (artists, members, journals, reviews, gallery, the member profiles, and a few other smaller things), I hope to get everything back to normal quickly (but at least we're here). Enjoy the new features, I'll be making a post in detail about all of them as soon as the website's all perfect again.

Good thing you're back. I have some homework to avoid, and you weren't giving me any reason to do so.

So are you saying little design changes are going to be changed soon too? Like it was right before the big shutdown?

Welcome, now I just gotta get all the bugs worked out. Haha. Figured people would like a sort of buggy AP more than no AP at all.

I basically decided to do the upgrade for that feature alone, that and the expanding text boxes (click the little up/down arrows on the quick reply box to see what I mean)... once all of this is implimented throughout the entire page, you'll be able to edit your profile in real time, I'll be able to edit news in real time, and all the modules as well. It's going to be very cool.

I don't know what was up, but I was talking with people during the shutdown. Rick said he couldn't get on, but it came up for me. (For about two minutes, and then when the page refreshed it shutdown.) It looked like you had brought back the boxes, but a little differently. They looked more 3Dish, and I didn't see where the points were listed anymore. It also looked like it was based on Scene Reputation or power or something, instead of points, since some "General Forum Elites" had much shorter box lines than usual.

Also, two little icons appeared above each post, and one was a folder to add-subtract points. Both were red, but I can't remember what the second one was.

However, also every post came up with the full signature, and I really hoped you were going to fix it. So, I don't know how I ended up seeing that. Do I have superpowers?

Edit: Oh yes, really good job though. No complaints, I was just asking.

Haha, no superpowers, I put the website online for a 15 minutes to do some testing but had the main page down, so those who had everything else bookmarked (in the forums, etc.) could access it before I fixed that.

unless someone quotes them. but still its going to save alot kids asses.

and I don't really see the purpose of expanding the toolbar. will it make the news posts on the main page longer so that you won't have to go into the forum to read more?

OK now maybe someone can answer this question because it's been bugging me forever. I know we have the ability to quote multiple posts/users in ONE reply and reply to them all separately in that one post.. but how do we do it? I've noticed if I quote everyone individually quickly it merges it all into one reply for me, but what if I want to quote everyone and take my time in the replies?! Can I select them all, and just be like "quote all those which are checked"? I am so confused.

No, it's just for .. say you're writing a really long post and you don't want to scroll up and down to see what you wrote, you can expand your the text box you're writing in to show all of your text at once ..

okay, it works now.. this is how:

on each post there is a "speach bubble" icon if you want to quote that post in a new post, click that icon on each post you want to quote .. it will turn from a speach bubble into a speach bubble with a red quote mark inside of it. Then click "post reply" and all the posts that you clicked will be quoted in your new reply.

this works on any page .. so you can be on page one of a thread, click the icon on .. then read the rest of the thread see something on page 5 you want to respond to .. click the icon on .. then click post reply on page 10 and it will quote everything in the thread you've clicked it on. it also works from other threads.. so you can click it on from a post in a completely different part of the website .. click post reply in this thread, and it will quote it.

Note it works on all posts except the last post of a thread, because if you want to quote that one - you should click "quote" instead of "post reply."
