Read about Death From Above 1979 (http://www.deathfromabove1979.com/) and their plans for their next album over at MTV.com (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1512975/20051103/death_from_above_nineteen_seventy_n ine.jhtml?headlines=true)

Anyone who's into DFA1979 should listen to MSTRKRFT. It's Jesse (the bassist)'s side project where he just remixes a lot of songs, mostly artists from Vice Records. I highly recommend checking out the remix of Bloc Party's "Two More Years". It makes me dance.

Four hours of DFA1979? I could live with that. :) Definitely one of my most anticipated releases for next year (assuming it does come out next year). I missed them performing at my school last weekend, which sorta sucks. Any opinions on their live show? I'm curious.

I saw them when they came to London. Actually, they played two shows, almost back to back the same night in the same club and I saw both - surprisingly, I didn't see the same show twice. They played all the songs in really different ways for both shows, which I think is a great attribute to have. Considering that there is only two of them on-stage, they create such a full sound. I recommend seeing them live to anyone.

wow, if they're not joking about the four hours thing, i'm pretty interested to hear it all. even if they are though, it should still be good. i'm looking foward to it.

I dig these guys like mad. I can't wait for any new matieral. And those remixes will be mine as well.

Oh, and this new Milky White board color scheme rocks my face off. Or at least milks on it.

I have heard that it's going to be 4 hours because there are going to be multiple remix discs to accompany the actual album. I have no source on that, it just came up in conversation with someone. Because I somehow doubt they would put out an actual 4 hour album - even though it would be awesome.

These mofo's cancelled their small headlining show that was supposed to take place on monday in Northampton, MA. I have not had the gratification of seeing them live, and was highly anticipiating this, but I guess there was a better opportunity in NY, where they actually played that night.

As for the four hour long cd...wasn't there supposed to be 3 different versions of it? Maybe that is what he meant by it. Either way, the cd is sure to be a four hour long party.
