Chicago's Songs From A Scene 5 has been confirmed: this year's lineup includes Lucky Boys Confusion (http://www.luckyboys.com) (both Dec 29 and 30), Inept (http://www.myspace.com/ineptband) (Dec 30th), Madina Lake (http://www.madinalake.com) (Dec 29th), Gas Can Pickup (http://www.myspace.com/gascanpickup) (Dec 30), Treaty of Paris (http://www.treatyofparis.com) (Dec 29), Witroy (http://www.myspace.com/pimproy) (Dec 29), and Rebels (Dec 30).

The shows will be held @ Chicago's Metro on December 29th and December 30th

Metro is located @ 3730 N. Clark Chicago IL 60613 2 blocks north of Wrigley Field.
Both shows are 17.50, Dec 29th is 18+ and Dec 30th is All Ages.

Tickets go on sale Nov 19th and will available at Metro's Box Office and www.ticketmaster.com

hahahahahahahaha they arent scene at all, and they put on a very fun show. that ultrasex kid is teh suck though. i almost beat him up once, after i made fun of him for wearing 3 studded belts and sucking some kids dick (seriously). i hate that douchebag.

I agree. I do not care for their music, but they put on a good live show.

They played at my college (Valparaiso, IN) when I went there, and the staff stopped the show because people were moshing or some crap. The band took their stuff outside and played acoustic while people sat around - pretty cool of them.

I guess a lot of people were turned off because Commitment was pop based. Lots of people on ap.net listen to bands like Yellowcard and Sugarcult which are also just pop punk so I don't know. LBC will be writing a new record very soon though so I'm interested to hear what they do. Every one of their records is always different from the previous.

As for Songs from a Scene... LBC puts this show on to get new/upcomming Chicago band names out there. Bands like the Plain White T's, Allister, The Waiting Game, and lots lots more have been a part of this concert series in the past. They've done a lot for the Chicago scene and I totally respect them.

lbc used to be far from generic. throwing the game is a solid and great album. they had elements of hip hop, ska, jazz, pop, punk, rock, and even reggae fused into a cd filled with good shit.
