It might even be later. I still don't have an official date for it. Keep in mind this is the same studio who did Fable and B&W2 meaning it could be a year or so...
But yeah, I really think this is gonna be a sleeper hit. It's so cool looking. I just like that idea. Doesn't hurt I shoot stupid movies for credit at school anyway...

They're pretty legit. I would go with that. Still Fable for PC was supposed to come out within a month of the Xbox one...

I got it...it's really fun and entertaining for about 8 hours. then your studio gets so big it becomes really hard to manage. there's a TOTAL defficiency of available employees, so everyone is unhappy and there's no new pool of people to pull from. actors begin to get really stressed out, meh. it was so much fun until it got too big and there is way too much stuff to do, especially with how you have to navigate the map by click drag. there's no right click to pull down a menu to tell people where to go, it's kinda annoying. overall, really fun, i played it for like 8 hours the day I got it, but it's been 2 days and 2 hours since then and I feel like I'm pretty much over it.

Really? That kinda sounds like a bummer. I read a few reviews on it and their problems sounded just about like what you said. Things get too big and it loses the fun there. They suggested just focusing on a small group of actors and that helped. Hmm, that kinda sounds disheartening though. :(

yeah, i mean then if you have a small group of actors, there's nothing to do while they're filming. which kinda sucks.

It's by Peter Molyneux, as far as I'm concerned the man's a genius. I've herad the game has lots of annoying things about it, but they said the same thing about Black & White which I love to death, so I'm down.

Ok, so I'm having a ball with it and loving it, but am starting to run into some major problems. I'm in like 1928 I think right now and I've developed 2 directors and 2 lead actors. It's damn near impossible to keep everyone happy, so I think I'm gonna start the game over tomorrow and just focus on one of each and rather than churning out movie after movie, just focus on puting out better movies. I love how it's a mix of the building, but also Sims-esque qualities like focusing on the happiness of the people. Great music and visuals. I just need to do better on my part and then I'll have more fun.
Any advice?

The fun is when you can make ur own movies instead of using there movies...but i don't even try to make my actors happy i just get new ones...once u unlock all of the stuff and go into sandbox...that's where the fun is

Well, i got to 1970 or so and i didn't have problems keeping people happy that early in the game. right click on their names, what are they upset about? I can help you fix whatever they're pissed about. it's hard to get better movies until you get better script writing offices...and then the movies require more actors, so you have to have more on staff. heh

I started over today and things are going waaaay smoother. I'm actually putting out semi-solid movies now. I'm just having the screenwriter keeping on churning out scripts and then picking the ones I want to use out of all those. I've got 1 director, a lead actress and a lead actor. the director specializes in action and horror meanwhile the actors specialize in each of those on their own. It's way more fun when you're succeeding, hahaha.

Haven't won any awards yet. I've actually only been to one awards show, but I'm hoping by the next one I'll have something. I just got the pack with the Lab and Rehab and my movies are debuting at around the 5th spot and working up. Have you been playing more lately or have you moved on from the game?

I've been too busy lately. I'll probably try and play it a different style sometime later on, but I just haven't had any time. keep me posted on how your city evolves though. how many actors do you have hired total?

Haha it's nice to have someone to talk to about the game so for sure I'll keep updating this. I'm gonna try to make some progress when I get home from school this afternoon.
So far I've hired:
1 screenwriter - i keep him constantly writing, but I'm thinking of hiring one writer for each genre
1 director
1 lead actor
1 lead actress
and then I think like 2 extras, a few crew and as many janitors as I can get.

ive just started playing today, fun as hell. whenever actors or directors are bored i ususally place them on a set to either act, or repair the set, which keeps em busy and raises their stats. i also just placed a bar in my lot, so that should keep em happy and liquored up. great game though, quite original.

Hey, I'm running into problems with the stars' trailers. They're unhappy with them and it seems like whatever I put in front of it or around it never makes em happy....
I'm in the late 30s early 40s now I think and I just released my highest debuting movie with 2 and a half stars and #1 at the box office. Sweet. :D

you have to put a LOT of stuff in the trailer lots to make them happy. also, if other stars have better trailers than them (newer models) they'll get pissed too. try putting in some cars on their lots. that seems to help a lot.

I am totally kicking ass right now. It's 1956 and I'm raking in at least 3 awards a ceremony now while constantly going back and forth between #1 and #2-3. My director is the #1 star and director and my movies are usually debuting at #1. Lol I totally didn't see this coming at all. Things have just really gone well for me the last few days I've played this. I moved from an action film focused studio to a horror one and I was like suuuper close to putting out a 5 star movie on the one I just released.
How's everyone else doin with this so far? I've figured out how to make the stars happy with their trailers, and now am more worried about the serious lack of crew. Not cool.

I actually got to test this game for my work experience like a year ago. It was pretty sweet then but the PC they let me use was a piece of shit and kept crashing so i couldnt get a totally objective view of the game. I tried desperately with the sandbox to make a zombie romance but alas to no avail...everytime i went to save it the screen froze :(
