Northbrook: hey look, another AP member wants you to check out his band

hey guys, i know i don't post in general too often, most these 18.5k posts come from the music forum. but i'm ryan and i have this band northbrook, and i just released a record thats up for free download. right now im mostly looking for feedback on it so i can improve my writing in the future, and i mean honest feedback. what i really wanted to do with this record is sort of revive the pop-punk sound from 2000-2004 (circa TAYF, TTTYG, pollyanna, YFW/deja, etc.) because, well, i dont like the new one save for a few bands haha. feel free to tell me how badly i failed to accomplish this. or, make yourself a sandwich instead.

i didnt understand his decision, considering ive contributed to this site so much and other poeple have promoted their shit in general, but staff has the authority...

haha, yeah the top song on the myspace reminds me of that album so much, it kind of scared me how prevalent the influence was cause i didnt notice it until after i wrote and recorded a demo of it. but im glad you liked what you heard!

It's because there is no sense of 'community' here. People sign up to post a thread about their band in here, then leave and never come back.

yeah and i mean, if all of these bands are unsigned and no one's heard of them, and then 90% of them are pop-punk bands like mine and probably listing similar influences, i have like zero chance of standing out haha. unless my bold name gives me some sort of superiority complex that i dont want.
