Recalling The Laptop Bomber From A Hospital Bed (Fiery Blues)

As a bomb shaped like a laptop enters the Greyhound station
An orphan girl cries to me and says the mean boy at the school yard
Had told her “No princess can live outside her castle”
She chews her back pack strap, like a pacifier.

Stacy, I would tell you all about my trip
If I could just remember, but my head hurts so much
I can see the fiery flash, feel the hot wind from the boom
Oh, and hear the jingle from that T.V. … the one that goes

Should have seen it coming at me,
Like an Atom bomb,

I thought about my bank statements, then looked at my watch
Just a half an hour until my bus was going to come
Enough time to get some cigarettes if I walked pretty fast
So I said fuck it, walked past the turnstile, across the street

To the mini mart powdered with the evening dust
Of Downtown Los Angeles, headache burning with a rush
The Mexican vendor smiled and handed the smokes to me
Then I heard that jingle again on an over head TV, I started singing

If I don’t run back to the station
I might miss my fucking bus
I’ll go broke buying this shit...

The light from the Grey Hound sign grew in my eyes
My fingers pried the carton as my feet paced the patio
The fire in my head got smothered by the smoke
I finally felt cool... then I looked at the clock

Then it’s back through the turnstile with my luggage and my pass
As the driver starts hollering for the Santa Barbara bus
Brush past the waiting patrons, to get my bag checked
Before the bus departs, and that stupid song comes on

Should have seen it coming at me
Like an Atom bomb,

From the seat by the window I watch the city go by
My reflection in the glass, Little Tokyo off to the left side
I doze off for a second, then awake to my surprise
I-I-I-I can’t remember, Stacy, I don’t know why I’m here…

I saw that polo shirt open its laptop
Instead of a blue glow it was a hellfire as it blew up
And my legs ain’t movin’ from these sheets and I’m so happy to see you
No worries now, no worries now, no worries now, no worries now
No worries now, no worries now, no worries now, won sorrow on, now war is on, nowhere is snow, now are you sleep, snow in the clouds, so dream of snow, let me dream of snow…

i actually really liked this part. the rest is somewat generic... and a vague story of who knows wat. try to focus this one a little more example

Thankyou for being the first response. Hm, you're probably right about it being too vague to understand; it iis my concern as well. This is the first feedback I've gotten about it from anyone, so I'll see how it pans out with more feedback. It's hard for me too see the vagueness because my idea was so specific as to what was going on in the piece, so my mind just knows it. I'll hold out from saying exactly what I was narrating/ doing about until there's more responses, or more time for a big lack of responses.

An mp3 stream is now available for this song. It doesn't sound very good... I recorded it in a "rush", kind of in the spirit of the song.
