Below is a message from Acceptance (http://www.acceptancerock.com):

For those coming to the next three shows you are in for a little surprise. Our dear
and faithful guitar player, Kaylan, is dropping off the tour for a few shows to finally marry his beautiful and wonderful girlfriend of like 15 years or something. Congratulations Kaylan and Alicia! You can do it! This obviously leaves a huge hole in the Acceptance starting line up. So we did a little brainstorming and experimenting with mind altering drugs whilst listening to Pink Floyd and decided to put Nick on the guitar (his true calling) and call upon on our friend Nate from Anberlin to fill in on the drums. Could get interesting.

Come witness the spectacle @ a city near you.

no this band really does suck. but I'm all for the mind-altering drugs, maybe they will actually get adventurous with their music.

awesome band. Nick is a badass guitar player, as evidenced by his guitar skills in Hangnail.

For half of the year it was my favorite too, now I don't know where it falls but it's definetly top five.

Phantoms is a fantastic album. And Acceptance is a fantastic band with a fantastic live show. Good for Kaylan.

Though you are entitled to your opinion please back up with facts or opinions more than those words.

I like Acceptance because they didn't just remake their old ep's. They wrote an album that didn't alienate their old fans but expanded on what they had and did it better. This is one band that signed to a major and used the time given to them to record to their advantage.

On another note, congrats to Kaylan on his marriage.

congrats to him...but if it were me in a band and i was getting married, i think id want the rest of my band at my wedding...obviously thats now how it is for many people in bands cuz i know there have been quite a few fill-ins at shows the past few years while someone in the band gets married. i dont just mean acceptance i mean other bands too

yeah, your bandmates are supposed to be like your best friends, and you'd want your best friends at your wedding, but i guess if your touring all the time and cant find a good date and dont want to cancel any shows...

my congrats to him as well!

while I agree this album isnt very interesting or good .......thats crossing the line. Mariah Carey is a whore and should be shot in the head.

i gotta admit, i love phantoms, but acceptance plays one of the most boring shows ive ever sat through 3 times. besides the first one (before phantoms officially came out, but leaked), the two others were incredibly boring.

wow, boring is just about the last word i'd use to describe an acceptance set.

I love this band (seeing em the third time on the 28th) but is Kaylan the guitarist that does backing vocals as well, or just play guitar? I am still seeing them either way, and love them either way, just wonderin'.

Who ever said bands have to be "adventurous" to be good. Writing catchy, radio-friendly songs is a just as notable as writing a mind-twisting mars volta song.

HAHA...no. the one who does backup vocals (christian) is not getting married. hahaha...oh man. kaylan's the other guitarist. and SUCH a nice guy. he and alicia deserve only the best.

p.s. mariah carey's awesome. i just gotta shake it off...

doesn't christian have a sister that goes to shows a lot? i think i saw her once. she talked to me....i kinda zoned her out. she was kinda annoying.

i've heard rumours about that . . .i wonder how factual that statement is. and with that, i always thought permanent was a decent song by them.

oops, to elaborate, i'm talking about the rumour i heard of aaron sprinkle writing the whole album? something like that. oh i don't know. not a big fan of this band so it doesn't matter. i don't think they suck though like that one guy.

wow, boring is just about the last word i'd use to describe an acceptance set.

they are pretty lifeless, and just play through their songs like robots. if there were cardboard cutouts of acceptance, and they put in phantoms, it'd be close to what i saw on the take cover tour. this was both times, including the tour they did with anberlin/saosin. they played identical sets at both shows. id love to hear "the letter" and "in the cold," though, they are my favorite tracks.

Ever hear of the word "subjective". Opinions are great, aren't they?

Yes, I think this record is hands down the best of the year. Nothing even comes close to it.

I saw them live. They were phenomenal. Jason hit every single note. In fact, I saw them with three other people and we all agreed on how incredible they were.
