In general. Take all matters into consideration. Explain your choice. You can only pick one, good luck!

I picked baseball. Even though it's not the most exciting sport to watch, I've been following it for the longest time and always entertains me. The off-season is always interesting and September is always the most exciting baseball. Highlights have the potential to be the most amazing of any sport with defensive plays in the outfield. There's also a game on at all times it seems during the season so I can watch it whenever.

Football, but I'm pretty hardcore about basketball and baseball as well

hockey.

I've been playing hockey since i was 8. It's the fastest game to watch, it's got the most physical contact next to football, it relies just as much on speed and finesse as down and dirty physical play and pure strength. it has the most balance overall, and i just find it the most exciting and least repetitive to watch. football is a close second for me, baseball is too slow, and basketball is just boring.

i picked basketball, assuming that the NCAA tournament is including, though i enjoy watching the NBA too

Baseball edges out hockey in my life. Then football (European) and football (American).

NASCAR is not a sport.

it all depends on the year. some years its baseball some years its basketball....... european soccer is great to watch and its sad how its not really shown here even though it has the best rivalries and fans in all professional sports

Tell that to a NASCAR fan.

I didn't even want to bother not including it just in case.

NFL, easily. I bet that Atlanta/Indy preseason game in Japan this past August had as many viewers at 5am in the morning as a lot of the playoff games the MLB had this year in primetime.

Easily college bball just because of the postseason. March Madness is the greatest sporting event of the year. College footballs postseason system is flawed and shitty.

This is all based on opinion so I chose baseball. I love how it goes on for several months and it's like a soap opera. Read the papers or watch Baseball Tonight and you catch right up.

11/15/05, 10:48 PM
i love baseball, but i'd have to go with football, just because every game means so much. sure, they only play once a week, but that still beats the more than 100 or so games per team of baseball that don't mean much to anyone but the fans of that certain team.

baseball is a close second, then college basketball. the NBA is a resounding last.

No it's not. it doesn't say that. and you didn't make the poll. It actually says in general.

That being said, nothing, absolutely nothing, beats March Madness. Basketball.

NASCAR - rednecks turning left.

The world series this year was pretty intense and it was nice to see the two teams with the highest payroll's get their asses handed to them in the first round. I played college baseball and nobody seemed to interested in it, but I'm sure D1 has some excitement.

I could watch football all day everyday.

Hockey is the most ADD sport ever...I don't even see why anyone could pick a sport to watch over that. Its just all action all the time and even when the play stops its not long before you're diving right back in. Football is 2nd but I just can't keep focused on it like hockey, too much stop-go, stop-go kind of action. Baseball is rarely exciting for me minus the postseason...but anyway ya know what, why isn't Pro Wrestling on here.....if you don't consider that a pro sport you must be un-American.

Soccer is the greatest game on Earth. But the poll was for the best sport to FOLLOW. In the states, it is far easier to follow baseball than soccer. So that is how I based my decision.

NASCAR, I grew up surrounded by motorsports because of my dad. He's a huge racing fanatic and he used to race motorcycles on tracks throughout the East Coast and in the Dominican Republic. He also raced in a certain type of sports car series, but I don't remember exactly what it was.
