Anybody else being screwed over by this? Due to budget concerns my school dropped ASL, which sucks, because they require that you take 3 semesters of a foreign language, and I had already done 2 semesters of sign, so now to graduate I have to find a JC around here that offers it. Eff Californias budget.

This is a possibility at my school, nothing's for certain at the moment... But Chinese might be dropped, and that really wouldn't be good for the Chinese students in the International Baccalaureate programme. I am one of those students, and if it were to be dropped, I would apparently have to take Spanish or French classes over the summer to be able to take an IB Language course during my last two years of high school...
Gawd, that would just be one huge stress whirlpool.
Sorry to hear about your ASL too. It's cool that you were able to take some classes, though. (:
That really sucks man. Sorry to hear that.
Not to stray from the topic, but is sign language universal?

Sign language is universal of course, but there are different variations, one of which is ASL or American Sign Language.
