Brokencyde is a group based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The band consists of four members, Se7en (Lyrics/Production), Mikl (Hype/Vocals), Phat J (Synths/Backup Vocals), and Antz (Hype/Live Production). Brokencyde was discovered by and is currently managed by The Artery Foundation, a team that has discovered other popular bands such as Alesana, The Devil Wears Prada, and Carnifex. Brokencyde released their first single, “Blue Steel” back in 2006, and it became a huge success. They followed with two other singles, “FreaXXX” and “Bree Bree”. Their latest single, “Get Crunk” has over 700,000 plays on their Official Myspace page alone. They have over 6.7 million plays on Myspace, and a loyal fanbase to follow.

There was something like that posted on the front page about a week ago, a group wrote up some email they said everyone should send to Kevin Lyman through email to say how brokencyde is one huge problem with Warped Tour and how bands like this are ruining the reputation and should be taken off. It was basically a petition, i'll find the link in a minute.

However, no, I wouldn't boycott warped tour just because of them. I love a ton of the bands on the tour like Valencia, Hit the Lights, Anti-Flag, Sing It Loud, Every Avenue, Red Car Wire, etc. Last year was my first year and I had a ton of fun. I'll just skip over all those bands I don't like. I wouldn't not support my favorite bands that actually NEED/DESERVE the support because of some dumb band like that. They are cool enough to do the tour, it would SUCK for them if less people showed up because they don't like one band on the tour.

3. I've seen any live videos, and honestly, it looks fun. the good videos show practically everyone dancing and a lot of energy.

4. This is what happened to the mainstream music industry. Take a listen, the most popular songs on the radio are either about sex/money/cars/partying, or they are love songs. Sadly, thats what sells.

This band won't die until the hating stops. As long as there's still an abundance of people complaining about them, there are always going to be people alerted to the fact that they exist. God knows, they'll keep touring until those thirteen year old girls turn sixteen if they can get away with it.

However, I do think that their booking agents overestimated the impact of the band in the UK , as they're now selling tickets 2-for-1 to try and shift them. At least, they are for the Scottish shows.

I have no clue what to think of this band. (I use the term "band" VERY [and I repeat, VERY] loosely.) I don't know if it's suppose to be some sort of R&B with random/repetitive screaming in the background or what. I also don't understand how the hell they're so damn popular if everyone talks so much shit about them. One last thing, they have 4 guys in the band. Can anybody explain to me what the 2 none vocalists (Once again, vocalists is used loosely) do? One sits behind a keyboard or something while the other one works the fog machine? well, i just got back from warped tour in jersey today. The fact that brokencyde was even APPEARING is horrendous. Warped Tour started out as a real punk tour, with real punk bands, a few of which have managed to stay on the tour i.e. NOFX, bouncing souls, bad religion, etc. Brokencyde is the most horrible band of this decade, without a doubt. Why the fuck are they on warped tour?!

when I went to see Senses Fail, Buddy talked for about 10 minutes about a band on the tour right now who has been talking shit to all the other bands about how punk rock and hardcore they are. Without saying the name of the band, the whole crowd knew he was talkin about Brokencyde. If they were REAL hardcore, they would have somewhat of a positive and meaningful message in their "songs," is wut he said, and i couldnt agree more, as the whole crowd did aswell.
