I just wrote this on an envelope and I shouldn't be online. I'm in a weird mood.
Tell me what you think of it.
Dear Hell, Love Home
what do you want me to do?
lie and say that I'm okay?
because that would make you feel less responsible.
well we both know I'm not the biggest fan of the truth,
but sometimes I feel the urge to color fibs with a dash of realism.
anyway, every time it turns into this deadly picture of you and I.
envelopes with sealed kisses inside,
seems rebellion lasted a lot longer than you did.
like and dislike never did mix.
they leave you living for lies and a magazine,
or at least thats how it ends in this particular case.
heres to the army and how it has or hasn't affected me
this feels like an essay but its more like a plea.
a plea to exist without saying please.
envelopes with sealed kisses inside,
seems rebellion lasted a lot longer than you did.
beyond farthest oceans on a chilly ice cap,
is a letter I wrote just for you. (how poetic of me)
it details the way I live just so you dont forget.
so put it in your pocket, (you probably wont)
tucked right next to your heart. (I know you wont)
that way when someone else hits you there
you can always remember to never forget me.
that's not to much to ask, is it?
envelopes with sealed kisses inside,
seems rebellion lasted a lot longer than you did.
envelopes with sealed kisses inside,
seems rebellion lasted a whole lot longer than you did.
well please leave me alone and go away for a while,
and while you're away I'll have time to practice my smile.
these words traveled across continents and towns
just to lower this bridge between you and I.
brick by brick and every day a step fatrher away from the sun
I want you to know that this town has given up on love.
it's not your fault but it may be more than a tiny part.
Tell me what you think of it.
