I have posted my interview with Hawthorne Heights (http://www.hawthorneheights.com) right here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=96970). Nicest band ever? Longest interview ever?

I love that a song is named after a post on AP, I think that's so amazing.

Here's the post for anyone that cares:

Weird, bands should not put so much stock in what's said on a message board.

Kinda neat for you and your wesbite though Tate...is this the first title named after a post on your site?

JT: I would definitely understand somebody asking that question if, like—I don’t know, when you read stuff like that, it’s like, “Name me one pro-suicide band ever.” Name me one band that’s like, “Oh what kind of music are you guys?” “Oh we’re like a screamo/emo band” “How about you guys?” “Suicide-core.”

Brilliant. I spit out my snapple reading that, still laughing my ass off.

Yah, I think. There's also an MC lars song that mentions "AP.net" ..

Every time I see that Victory commercial on Fuse, Niki FM gets stuck in my head for hours. It's like voodoo.

GREAT interview Rohan.

Their new song is actually pretty good, and I didn't like their old record at all.

In your ears.

The direct quote from Trevor is actually "In THE ears" ;) Get it right Hawthorne Heights.

I wish they'd name a title after me. They should've made a title "Dick on your shoulder" just so it could never be a single.

By definition of a "poser" you have to "pose" as something else than you really are; and hey, weird concept, PEOPLE's THOUGHTS EVOLVE AND CHANGE. Especially when a band is able to show who they are as people. Seperate the music from the man, or STFU.

How come the Billboard HH thread is locked? Anyway...I'd at least give their next record a chance if they promised never to scream again. Seriously, I had a laughing fit when I first heard it. Not a fan of their first disc (well, what I heard), but I'll at least check out anything they offer up for the next one. I wonder in what direction they'll go.

Well that's an idiotic thing to say. I think they're terrible but I'm not going to berate them for trying to help others.

They played me the new record last night; it's definitely more refined, much better production, less screaming. I don't think if you hated HH before that you're going to suddenly like them now, but I think people who liked their old album are going to love this one, and I think it'll convert some people who were indifferent.

I think what ruined their entire first record was all the screaming and overproduction. Niki FM is cathcy as hell, but they really did seem like they were forcing ALOT of stuff on that cd. After not only acknowledging it, but explaining it, my curiosity is peaked and I would actually like to hear this record. I'm going to see them (well I'm going to see anthony and jack) and this article just convinced me not to leave after bayside. It definitely didn't convince me to come for aiden though.

just because they're good guys doesn't mean you have to like their music. i have a lot of respect for them, especially after the bayside stuff, but i still can't stand their music. it's just my personal opinion. doesn't make me an asshole, it just means i don't like some band that you like. but hey, to each their own.

Well..

Midway through the interview they go on about their first CD pretty much being bad, and how Victory gave them only a few weeks in the studio.

Funny.

And "Stab Yourself" is great. What a story. I remember that thread.

you didn't, just tryin to give some view point from the other side and let you know that not everyone that dislikes them is an asshole about it. i agree though, kids that just hit up these posts and talk shit.. it's annoying and old. no ones gonna say anything that fans of hawthorne heights or the band themselves haven't heard before. either way, it's all rock and/or roll.
