Hot Rod Circuit (http://www.hotrod-circuit.com) is currently looking for a new label.

We may be able to feature one of their new demos here on AP in a little bit, keep your fingers crossed!

I wonder why... but they're definitely one of the top bands around. I love them. They'll get on a new label soon enough. I can't wait to see them next week. And I can't wait for the new album.

They should be on a major, and they should be a hell of a lot bigger than they are right now.....one of the best pop punk bands of all time, i do not understand how they have not had a major break out hit, its ridiculous.....but its not their fault, i blame it on vagrant. If you think about it, what the fuck DOES vagrant spend money on.....even Trio doesnt get that great of promotion.....im thinking senses fail, and thats about it.

pop punk? i really beg to differ. catergorizing is a pain in the ass but...if i had to explain them to someone i'd have to say.....um.....damn. just rock? i guess just that they're a rock band.

vagrants been kinda quiet. i think they pressed alk3 pretty hard. i remember HRC really pleading with their fans to buy their latest album because sales numbers (obviously) mean a lot of labels, and they weren't getting much.

What sort of promotion do you think Vagrant could spend their money on to help make their bands "huge" then? I'm just curious because I know Vagrant employees read this website and I assume could benifit from your knowledge.

/I'm being serious, regardless of how it comes out.

The fact of the matter is that Hot Rod Circuit is fantastic and Vagrant was too busy promoting other records. Their latest was way underrated and I can see this band still making it big. Awesome vocals, catchy guitars. If they come to your town, check them out and hear the new songs. They sound great

do people genuinely like reggie. i mean, is it because the guy wears underpants. is it because it's ironic?

i love him because he writes some pretty stupid songs, although i wasnt feeling the new album as much as the older ones. i think people like reggie for the fun, thats at least why i do.

if you mean hrc were the focal point of vagrant after emanuel, from autumn to ashes, the bled, alkaline trio, and senses fail, then yes, you are right.

there's no crown to be held on vagrant. they have done a pretty good job of getting their bands on decent tours where they can get some exposure. at what point does a band have to pick up where the label left off? not saying that hrc doesn't work hard, but it looks like vagrant does, and their successful bands must be doing something right that the less successful bands aren't.

I love HRC because they don't try to be anything their not, they seem to have found their niche and they are really good at what they do. They aren't trying to be the best band in the world, but they mature and get better with every cd so I really can't wait for the dems. An amazing band i hope they find what they are looking for...

man i like where this guy is going...

anyways, vagrant was 51% of the reason the get up kids broke up. if you can't do anything for vagrant, they literally throw you out on the street. Moneen are a canadian band so they're not that that worried about vagrant and how they work for them, they get enough recognition as it is. HRC belonged on that label 3-4 years ago when it was in it's hayday (get up kids, reggie, dashboard, hot rod) now the label is on the decline minus senses fail, and they could care less about their bands.

HRC will likely go to doghouse due to the Limbeck connection.

i agree, sorry about tomorrow is one of those records that i just throw on and it instantly brings me back to the time when it came out, it's a simple pop rock album, but it's classic.

I always thought Vagrant was a good match for HRC. I couldn't really picture them selling all that well on a major label as catchy as they are. Their brand of pop-punk seems a little bit too complex for the mainstream charts and I don't think they would fit in with the modern rock charts.
On another note, I am really looking forward to new stuff from the band. It seems as though there are a lot of people that are catching onto Sorry About Tomorrow which is awesome because it's such an amazing album. Definetely one of my top ten favorite albums.

They were pretty big fans of Say Anything too for a while ..so I could definitely see Doghouse.

Regardless of where they land, nothing changes the fact that they are one of the best rock bands of the past 10 years. I wouldnt call them pioneers, but they were certainly one of the 1st bands to stand out and get recognition in a scene that has become muddled with mediocrity.

I know for a fact Vagrant messed them up in a big way. Vagrant picked their single, track listing, chose what to leave off, would not let them record their album. Vagrant has sucked for a long time. I have been a fan of their since 1999 they didnt deserve what happened to them. But without Vagrant they are free to do what they do best. Fucking rock, raw. If they went back to Triple Crown, or any label that gave them full control over what they do, I would be happy for them cause the fans would get the best.

Jay Russel, their ex-bass player is a great singer and songwriter in his own right. Diamond Jay and the Rough are awesome. The new bass player is really nice, and holds up his end well.

The new stuff fucking rocks.

I just saw them and they were wonderful, they played a cover of Tom Petty "I won't back down" and played two other songs not on their setlist for the crowd. I love this band.

During "Low," Valient Thorr came out with unplugged guitars and rocked out with Hot Rod.
