I'm not really a fan of this album anymore, as it's been like, 18 months since I first heard it, and this is definitely not my favorite song on the album, but I saw this video recently and I thought it was a cool theme, and I like how the setting during the verses, which are semi-tranquil, are at like, a Homecoming dance/party for the soldiers, but when the chorus comes, which is more loud, it transitions into war scenes.
I thought it was cool. But this song still sucks. Any other comments?

I thought the video was amazing, like you said, I love the idea of how the video shifts tones from verse to chorus.

this video is amazing, even if you dont like their music you should atleast be able to recognize how amazing this video is and how good the acting in it was... and if anyone's anti war this video does help prove a point... it's very sad, gripping even... *hearts*

Not a fan of the video. It feels overdone. I mean it's well made and edited, but it just doesn't feel right.

I think the video puts a lot more into the song. When I first heard it, I knew the song was about loss, but the video conveys how heavy the feeling of loss is in life. I don't think the image of war in GOY is politically charged in any way, which is kind of refreshing when most videos use the image to promote a side. I actually wasn't a huge fan of the song until I saw the video.
Otherwise, the graphics are awesome. I love the wave coming through the dance floor and turning it into the beach.

I was kinda drifting from this band, then i listened to 3 cheers today for the first time in a long time. I remember getting this album last november, and today i got those same chills i got back then BEFORE all the trl/mtv stuff. They're definitely a great band.

As for the video, its good, one of the few this year that has kept me interested throughout. And it wasn't the travesty that was the cliched Helena video, so I liked it.

I love My Chemical Romance, and all of their videos are amazing, all of their videos fit the songs...I love the song, and this song isn't political at all...its mainly about loss, Gerard cut his hair for this video...I watched the making of this video...it was pretty funny..anyways RAD FUCKIN VIDEO!!!...way better than GREENDAY'S video fuckin 7minute long video which makes no sense anyway...

do you really hate someone because they wrote that? sure they may be stupid post, but everyone has wrote a couple. and in a few monthes they will look back and realize how stupid they were.
overplayed. at least, it is on MTV2. i dont know about Fuse, dont get that channel... i like the song, i like MCR, but this song is getting old. i like the part where he dies in the end tho, and gerard is leaning over the bar screaming. i think its gerard, correct me if i got the wrong brother.

I loved the video, it made me cry at the end :'( it showed the horrors of war, i thought it was pretty awsome, I am a HUGE fan of theirs though :)

I think I like it. I mean, I actually watch it when I catch it on TV, but it kind of also makes me feel unsettled like, "is this a war tribute?" "is this disrespectful or not?"

i like MCR they're cool and the ghost of you might be they're best single.. sadly they're put under the stereotypes in this fanatic world....
people think they're goth and emo and that they just want to reach teens and they're sellouts and blha blah blah well ya know what? stop stereotyping... this band is awesome its just how they're being perseved

Acting? For one, there was not much acting involved. The video is amazing in the way it was shot almost cinematically. I don't think it fit the song very well. Its a very overly dramatic and overdone video, but then again, MCR's forte is being an overly dramatic and overdone band. The best shot is the overhead effect of the dance turning into the storming the beach scene. Visually, a great video but still a bit overdone. I doubt this was going for an anti-war thing since it was obviously a World War II setting when the country actually cared and were proud of their troops.

i LOVED it.
but then again im a huge mcr fan. i thought it was a relay good video and i saw the making of it and it was pretty cool .
