07, but 2000 is pretty good too.

I don't like that all three LOTR movies are on there.

atonement was pretentios BS

michael clayton was boring. george clooney can do well, but seemed idk like uninteresting in it.

juno was hipster BS

no country for old men was overrated. good story and acting, but there's got to be some kind of resolution. the ironic "ending" is a bunch of crap that people jerked off to because they didn't understand what to think and just said best movie because of the overrated crappy coen brothers.

I'll go with '06 (The Departed, Letters From Iwo Jima, and Little Miss Sunshine are all great), although I do like the nominees from '07 and '02.

I've seen the most from '99, and I loved them all.

i went '06. the departed and little miss sunshine are still 2 of my favorites. I would say '05 is the worst out of the bunch.

went with '07. '00-'05 was a strange time for best picture noms. the last few years have been much more solid. '99 would be a close close second, if not a tie...

Haha. IMO that's the weakest overall movie on the list.

I would go with this year for worst no question. I will likely only buy one (maybe two, if Milk gets a better DVD release in the future) on that list.

i think the voting is swayed due to the younger members, and the fact that these movies are still fresh in our minds.

i bet if it was a five more years in the future, 2007 wouldn't be that appealing

I have no interest in the LOTR movies, so I went with 2007 with 1999 in second.

I really disagree with that. No Country will be on Best of all-time lists in 30 years, it's reason alone to pick it.

I think I like 05 most. 06 is good, too.

'99.

From each year I would have liked to see these win (or am glad they won):

1999 - American Beauty
2000 - Gladiator
2001 - (I've only seen A Beautiful Mind and I hate LOTR)
2002 - Gangs Of New York
2003 - Mystic River
2004 - Sideways
2005 - Munich
2006 - The Departed
2007 - There Will Be Blood
2008 - Milk
